I have not come across this discussion anywhere but wanted to let everyone know to register your tires with Pirelli on their site.

It's quick and easy and you can get the DOT information off your tire itself. It's usually a 13 digit characters with numbers and letter with the last four being in an elongated circle.
Our studio didn't mention anything to us and it's just researching on our own that we've found this.
