DMV Lucid Owners

Hi all,

Please make sure you head over to the new thread for any updates related to the upcoming June 1st rally event - the route will go through DC, MD, and VA - with amenities provided courtesy of Lucid.

There is a limit on the number of drivers this rally can accommodate to ensure a safe and fun event for all participants and guests. We are approaching that limit soon, so please register via the link below if you have not already done so.

Hope to see you all there!

Thanks for posting this. I didn't realize this thread was private and thought it was open to others. I am going to tag one of the forum admins who may be able to assist.
@hydbob - are you able to move the other rally thread to this subforum if it makes it accessible to other owners? Am hopeful you can assist in rectifying my ignorance that the other thread would be visible. My mistake here.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I’ll check it out tomorrow. Just confirming the car is displayed in the Tyson’s corner mall location. Not the Tyson’s Galleria studio next to the service center.

Correct.

Hey everyone,

It has been a while.

I wanted to highlight, with some extra detail, an event at the Tysons Delivery Center hosted last week. An invitation was sent out to members of the owners club in the DC area for a meeting and greet with executives from Lucid corporate. By design due to ever changing travel schedules, they did not specify which executives would be present. The traffic and weather were awful before during, and after this event, held at rush-hour on a weekday one of the busiest locales in our area.

Peter showed up, to everyone’s surprise, and could not have been more genial and friendly and it felt like he wanted to spend more time chatting with the Lucid owners in the parking lot carry on with activities going on inside. He signed frunks, and hats and applied bear stickers. It was awesome to see a handful of other owners there.

He shared some fun facts about preproduction models, some useful OTAs coming soon, and their miniaturization of the motors. When I asked him, he further confirmed a story I love to tell, that he was indeed the chief designer and engineer of the model S who left Tesla to return to the UK to be with his ill mum on her deathbed, much to the chagrin and disapproval or his then boss, Elon, that has, seemingly, since never forgiven Peter for putting his family first. These are values and origin stories worth sharing.

It was a wonderful event and I hope everyone, even if not there, can appreciate Lucid leadership taking the time to sincerely interact with customers like this.

Lastly, we are overdue for a meet-up, and proposing mid/late August for a Lucid and Lattes event. How do the 18th, 24th, or 25th look for everyone?

Cheers,
Stealth

I was so bummed to miss this one, I just couldn't make the timing work. Looks like a fantastic event!

Hope to see you all again soon

I had a great time! I hadn't seen Peter since the Gravity reveal at the LA Auto Show so it was great to spend some time with him again. The best part for me was getting my frunk autographed. I honestly didn't think it would even be possible since we're all on the East Coast.

I too would like to chime in re: last weeks Tysons Galleria event. A huge Thank You to the Lucid team for organizing and hosting the event. It was fun and informative to be able to go into the service bay area and chat with Graham, Paul and others. It was a real surprise and genuine pleasure to meet and chat with Peter. He was a real sport about getting down on his hands and knees to apply bears to cars.

Hey Virginians, anyone ever get the lucid referral program to stick ? or at least the referrer can get points if not a VA resident?
