I have been unable to get this resume feature to work. I push the bar up and instead of resuming it sets a new speed based on the car's current speed. What am I doing wrong? Should I just put my thumb on the knurled part and not the bar?
Yes, you can use two fingers to turn the knurled knob to make sure that you are not inadvertently pressing the slotted button.

Are you pressing the button (either purposefully or inadvertently)? Pressing the button will set the cruise speed.
Now that you mention it, I think I must be pressing the button inadvertently. Thanks for that.

I’m quite happy with the model Y, and while it is not quite as luxurious as a Lucid, the technology is miles ahead.
I could not disagree more re: the technology, unless you only mean FSD.

But I’m very glad you got the car you like. :)

I think it was intended that way too hence the large dial and firm click. I like it better than clicky wheels.

Yes, I was inadvertently pressing the button in & up when I thought I was just pressing it up.

Us old folks tend to press stuff with a heavy hand. I learned that the HomeLink "button" just needs a light finger touch, not a finger press. I'm sure you have seen it when we use our smartphones and we are hammering away at the screen. :D

I’d give my 2025 Air Touring a 5.5/10. If the software took a huge leap forward in usability, reliability, and features, it could go to a 7.5-8. That would have to include phone key becoming as good as Tesla’s (which is good even without ultra wide-band).
Some issues like one-pedal driving jerkiness at 0-1mph I attribute to hardware but I’ve seen Tesla update that with software.

Software: 1/10
Hardware: 7.5/10

When I ordered my Lucid Air Grand Touring in 2022, I got every option available. Prior to ordering, I was led to believe it would be full self driving. After over three years of ownership I’m curious as to the level of satisfaction people have with their Lucid?

Initially, I was impressed with the car and the expectation of future upgrades which would fill in the gaps on all the things I was unhappy with such as the self-driving, media interface, speakerphone quality, and so many things too numerous to mention. I bought $300,000 worth of stock too. 🙈

With ten being the highest, what is your level of satisfaction with your Lucid car ownership?

Mine is a love/hate experience so I give it a 5.
I couldn’t be happier with my second (and first) Lucid Air. For a first time effort from a brand new car company I think that they have hit it out of the park. To those who say ‘…for a $100K car it should…’ I say did you not know that Lucid is BRAND NEW? Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Cadillac, etc., etc. have all been around for decades and decades and decades. Lucid? An hour and a half. Compared to newcomers Tesla and Rivian I think that Lucid *more* than holds its own. I’m going with a 9+ out of 10. Easily the best car I’ve owned and one of the best (the ‘72 2002tii was why the word FUN was created) I’ve driven. I’m rooting for more KSA cash and a little more time!

Speaking about efficiency:
My 2022 Air GT on 19's is exclusively driven in New England year round

Lifetime 3.64 mi/kWh
Drove 218 miles from NY to Boston today in warm weather 70+ mph avg for the drive on Highway assist ( mostly)
4.40 mi/kWh not to shabby for an efficient powerful ride which would range out at 490 miles for the Air with a 112KW battery

How much more are you paying in Electricity with the Lucid Air, I have been going back and forth about getting one from the Company in Natick, I am torn between the Air and the 2026 Lexus ES350h AWD.

I really love the Lucid but sometimes I get scared with some of the horror stories I have seen online. I learned the hard way that a problematic car can become an expensive mistake very quickly. Currently I have a 2022 Lexus ES250 AWD that has been very reliable but it is slow, and the sound system is the base model and it does not have wireless android auto which drives me nuts. The Lucid Air GT was incredible when I test drove it and I am really thinking about it.

Your electricity cost is determined by where you live and how much you drive.
In Nevada or Washington state, electricity costs around 13 cents per kWh and you can drive about 3-4 miles on that kWh, so between 4 cents and 3 cents per mile - the same as a 100-200 mpg car.
In California, electricity costs much more, but you are still driving a 50mpg equivalent car with 800 horsepower instantly available.

Once you've become used to driving a fully electric car, it's difficult to go back. They're just a nicer drive and much more convenient - as long as you can charge at home. I wouldn't buy an EV without home charging.

Not only did I not buy a gravity, I just traded it in my air for a Tesla model Y. Part of my decision was my comfort factor with a car that seats as low as it does, but a major factor was the fact that Lucid has laid off 30% of their employee since the first of the year and last week fired the whole C suite. I’m quite happy with the model Y, and while it is not quite as luxurious as a Lucid, the technology is miles ahead. By the way, my fully loaded air was given a trade-in value of $53,500. It was a dramatic depreciation price for lucid that was less than two years old.
I couldn’t agree more with this having followed the same path. The Y has met & exceeded my expectations. The software is absolutely flawless. The radio is actually, IMO, better than the Lucid SSP. The Supervised FSD is absolutely uncanny, I’ve yet to see it make a mistake other than the expected occasional nav errors. My efficiency is the biggest stunner, I’m getting 5 mi/kWh after almost 5,000 miles of driving. I thought I was doing well with just about 4 miles/kWh on my Lucid. Very impressive. This is a far better car than my 2017 MS was.

Yes, the car doesn’t ride or handle quite like the Lucid, but had I never experienced the Lucid, I would have had no previous car on that level to compare it to. This is another way of saying I’m very pleased with the ride & handling even if not ‘state of the art’. In fact my wife likes it so much, she’s disappointed when I take the BMW i5 out.

Perchance

i tried to give the MY a chance from a visual, comfort perspective but no way unless it were priced like its competitor the Leaf.

2023 AGT. Overall a 7. Love the car. Pleasure to drive. Plenty of room. Good build quality. It's been trouble free except for the software. Even this latest UX 3.0 build is filled with bugs, and I can't take a drive without some issue. I do appreciate most of the changes in the user interface, but things like the trip computer should be on the main screen as they used to be. there is plenty of room there for it. That screen is also too bright, and at the lowest adjustment it is still too bright for night driving.
I don't think the new ambient lighting colors are an improvement, and I'd like more control. Just give me the full palette and let me decide.

I'd buy another Lucid when the times comes, but they are not taking the software seriously enough. If they don't get their act together on this, the Cosmos is dead. And so is Lucid, which would be a shame and a self inflicted suicide. I'm rooting for the company, but the software releases are sub-standard and not acceptable to owners.

I love my 2022 Grand Touring. At the time I bought it I got every option available. Expensive? Yes, but I wouldn't have bought if I couldn't pay cash for it. Sure a few bugs here and there, but cannot expect that everything would be 100% perfect for a new car from a new car company.
Other than scheduling service I give it a 10.

I’m not sure I’d put the Leaf as a competitor to the MY, but OK, we get it, you’re not a fan. 🤣
Remember I’m talking my opinion on the interiors.
After the Air I’m not sure I could go back to any current Audi or Bentley (in my price range) much less anyone else’s car, they all blend into sameness.

Edit I did like the Lotus inspired sports car, like a fancy go kart. In a good way.

Initially a 9, after service rectified small issue, its a 10.

I live very close to Natick. That service center is very good and I have had no issues with my 2022 Grand touring in 33 K miles
My estimate is if you charge at home the cost of driving on electricity is about 1/4 the price of premium gas in an equivalent 8 cylinder car or 6 cylinder truck.
If I travel I use EA for charging and its about 2/3 price of gas so as long as you plan to charge at homme you will save a lot on daily driving. The car is terrific for highway cruiising
