I was able to scrub off some speed and lay the bike down but still was north of 50 upon impact. Not sure how far a traveled as I was out cold. I remember right before and then waking up in an ambulance. It’s amazing how your mind and body protect you from trauma. Full face helmet, leathers, gloves and boots certainly saved my life or at the least some long term misery. I should have bought the bike from the insurance company but I felt it now had bad juju. Today in good condition they’re worth $30-$40K. I should have at least pulled all the works and Ferracci parts.
