Located here. The analyst goes into ASP and what it says about product mix and potential revenues. It’s surprisingly comprehensive and considered. And the outlook is… not great.

Yes a decent article but good grief. How many ways did the author say the same thing over and over and over…….

Wow, the author sure seems to be obsessed with ASP. Do we not assume Lucid is well aware that Pure has been the most popular option from the get go, and thus ASP was always going to decline? I get that this is an issue if production doesn’t ever ramp. But they’re screwed if they can’t ramp production, anyway.

All start-ups deal with this same issue. Until you can ramp your costs will exceed any ASP. No different when Tesla started or now Rivian, Lucid etc. I am always careful of anything on Seeking Alpha, many of the authors regardless of what they say have an interest in the stock going up or down. Nobody has been forced to buy a Lucid here or their stock. Most of us have a minimal $1000 investment which if you are buying a $150000 auto you can walk away from without much suffering. Those that have received their vehicles ( I wish I were you) enjoy the ride. The early DeLorean purchasers also worried but regardless of out come they had a great time!

A few months ago, prior to all the cuts in production forecasts, several of us on this forum (@Sandvinsd, @idiot900, myself, and others) were using projected revenues and project mixes to try to figure out when Lucid would deliver our cars provided that Lucid production more or less stuck to traditional product ramp ups. Boy, were we wrong. Work stoppages due to quality issues and parts shortages pretty much flattened the production curve. And in the end, I got my car way earlier than I expected, while @Sandvinsd got caught up in the unlikely but very real situation of Lucid being unable to produce a grey car.

The Seeking Alpha author is using similar techniques to what we did to forecast where Lucid will be in a few years. Hopefully, he/she/they/it/etc. is dead wrong, and Lucid will be much better off. All in all, it's interesting to see the same speculative analysis that several of us did at the beginning of this year being applied to Lucid's current situation. And to see how much Lucid's fortunes have changed since the year started.

Interesting. It didn't make me sign up for anything. Maybe because I have content blockers on?
