Confusing and Conflicting information from Lucid regarding equipment

What does the DreamDrive settings look like in the car? A none DDDP car has less menu options...

Someone above mentioned that Lucid made the DDPro and other upgrades optional on GT cars which I believe is true but I don't believe that applied to any of the 2022 GT's. It came later when they were trying to reduce the initial pricing. Since you are planning to go to Natick for the CCV upgrade you can try it again on the way once you are on major highways in the U.S. In any case, Natick SC should be able to determine what exactly is causing your problem with DDP. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I'll take a picture when I get back in the car... But there are a fair amount of options, including hands free driving etc

Yeah that's what I'm hoping. It's just too bad it's months away

It's a little frustrating to hear the replies because I feel like some people aren't reading them.
Sorry. My comprehension is poor.
I *have* a 2022 Grand touring. People on here have said it comes with everything and all activated. To confirm this,I called a lucid service centre this was the case for mine.
They are wrong. NOT all 2022 Grand Touring comes with DreamDrive Pro because Lucid started the campaign to lower the price by taking them away:

I don't doubt that a Service Center gave you the wrong info. This is not the first time. I assume that they were talking in general, unlike Natick who looked up your car's upgrades menu individually.

I know lucid didn't take my money. I'm not a frigging idiot. Nowhere did I say lucid stole from me (in fact,I specifically say the seller)... I'm just disappointed in the lies.
Remember. Members in this forum also swear that ALL 2022 Grand Touring comes with DreamDrive Pro. They are not liars. They were not just aware of the fact that DreamDrive Pro was taken away as a campaign to lower the price.
And for the software, natick specifically said I can upgrade through the app because I have the hardware but not the software...but the app and dashboard also say, as I mentioned, no upgrades available to purchase and none bought.
No doubt. Yes, in theory, you can upgrade by the app but in your case, it's not possible somehow. There's a bug that prevents you to do that. Thus, you need to go to a Service Center personally to resolve that problem.

Anyway...I made a mistake posting here because I honestly feel like people aren't reading what I wrote and just assume I'm complaining about lucid in general instead of the seller.
I don't mind complaining. It's therapeutic.

Are you saying that you don't informally complain, but are you legally accusing Lucid of being a liar?

Oh and last point, I also specifically said that I know it only works on certain roads and a sc advisor told me which ones and I tested them there and it doesn't come on. It has never come on nor given me the option.
That's the correct way to test it out. Drive where it's known to work (Just like driving a Mercedes Level 3 Drive Pilot according to its known working roads posted on the web).

In your case, first things first, your "My Upgrades" says "You have no available upgrades at this time." You need to fix that blank status first.

Mine is not blank. It clearly says:

"My Upgrades
DreamDrive Pro One Time Purchase"

View attachment 36696from the sticker of the car

Remember, the car's sticker is not a sales receipt. Everything is originally and correctly listed. However, at the time of sales, things can change. In my case, my Prius came with an expensive wheel that's reflected on the sticker. I complained and they physically switched them out but the sticker still says it has expensive wheels. However, the sales receipt says differently: not expensive but standard wheels.

Remember, initially, 2022 Grand Touring all came out with DreamDrive Pro. However, at the time of sales, some were not included, and that fact is documented on the sales receipt but not the original sticker.

Excellent point. @Truthlesshunter Lucid should have a copy of that sales receipt that you can get. It may be good news or bad news on whether or not your car actually has DDP. Mistakes happen, but Lucid won’t try to deceive you.

Yeah, but nothing explains why the 'updates' information for a vehicle which clearly has all the DDP hardware neither shows as having DDP nor being eligible for an upgrade to DDP.

That's the big question..if it wasn't purchased with the vehicle, why is it not available to purchase now? Not that I would because I was told I have it...but that makes it that much more confusing

If it was paid, it would say "DreamDrive Pro One Time Purchase"

Since it's not documented, it was not paid even once.

Remember the campaign to lower the price: Its offer doesn't have to last forever. If you didn't buy it timely, Lucid is not obligated to continue to offer you the convenient menu to purchase it now. You might have to inconveniently show up in person to ask a human worker to override your blank menu.

True, but what possible financial incentive would Lucid have to make the DDP upgrade a limited time offer? If all that needs be done is install some software, just about the total upgrade cost flows straight to the bottom line, which is right where Lucid needs the $$$ most.

Yeah and it says it was purchased on the window sticker which is probably why it isn't as a purchased upgrade on the dashboard

Remember all the viral complaints about Lucid software?

The optional buy was short-lived so there are not many cases to justify the convenience for user to click and buy forever. That requires some ongoing software maintenance, interoperability...

It might be cheaper to let a human worker to activate the feature than maintaining the customer interoperability to the activating system.

Sorry, but I can't accept that rationale as a basis for making a $4k (or whatever) software upgrade a limited time offer. Those marginal costs are part of why I said not all the $$$ flows straight to the bottom line.

Lucid doesn’t refuse taking the money.

It used to provide click and buy to take the money.

It still does take your money but not the convenient way. You need to manually do it with a human in Lucid.

There's a similar case with click and buy Tesla AP1 (Autopilot version 1).

Tesla used to provide a click to buy menu on the web/app for AP1. Some saw that menu and waited until they would be sure that they want it. By that time, the menu then suddenly disappeared forever. They then had to do the hard way by interfacing with a human staff to give money to Tesla.

It makes no sense to make it harder for customers to give them money. However, due to the low volume, it is cheaper to do that than maintaining the click to buy menu.

Remember, the lowered priced 2022 Grand Touring was to clear out the leftover which was very low in number.

Even with that low number, the OP doesn't commit to buy DreamDrive Pro either. That again, makes this optional DreamDrive Pro group smaller.

When was the last time you heard that a 2022 Grand Touring complained that they want to give money to Lucid for the optional after-purchase DreamDrive Pro?

I suspect zero.

If this is not applicable, feel free to ignore.

I also bought a 2022 Grand Touring. I had no option to use dream drive pro, despite the car being equipped. After I had the car properly linked to my account, the dream drive pro options became available.

If you have already logged in / linked your car this won't help of course.

I did....but maybe logging out and logging back in may help. Won't hurt anyway ..I'll try it tomorrow. I'm open to anything right now

Would you please clarify "options" as in:

1) options to buy
Or
2) DreamDrive Pro is active and you have options to adjust the settings
