Is anyone aware of how the Tesla charging network is connected? If it's hardwired to me that could explain why they aren't down or are able to have consistent data. If EA and others are using cell, then the act of trying to charge is the only time you'd think the unit is communicating. Keeping a cell signal alive wouldn't make sense.
