I guess I need to have service look at it. The adapter is not locking into the socket. That would explain why it keeps being pulled out by the weight of the cable for sure.

Yeah either the socket or adapter are broke.

Yeah I used a Chargepoint DCFC with the adapter and it stayed put just fine and their new unit cable is just as bulky as EA. I’ve been meaning to trial the crappy EA near me but haven’t had a chance.
Maybe it is an operator problem on my end but the CCS to NACS adapter does not lock into the charge port. A NACS cable does lock in and you need to press the release button to remove it.
Is the procedure to first plug the adaptor into the CCS cable then plug into the car or does it make any difference. In any case that adapter does not lock in. So thats why the weight of the cable is pulling it out of the charge port. I have an appointment at the SC tomorrow and will see what they have to day.

We stick it on the CCS cable first and then into the charging port, but I don't know that it matters. (I also don't know that it doesn't!)
It not locking means something is wrong with either the adapter or the car, as I previously said. Service should be able to fix whichever the issue is.
So traveling home to Sarasota from Orlando. We had driven around a bit in Orlando so range was down to about 100 miles. I set Nav to home and it automatically routed me to an EA charger in Lakeland. Sice we signed up for Pass+ I used the EA app to start the charge and then plugged in with the CCS adapter. Worked like a charm. 33 kwh in 8 minutes, 270kw max rate on the 350kw station. .36/kwh discounted from .48/kwh. BTW, Nav only wanted 4 minutes but I had to use the WaWa restroom across the street.
