So today I am getting my new wheels calibrated from 19inch to 20inch. The service fee is $200. Granted on this particular occasion I purchased after market wheels, but I was wondering about all you winter / summer folks. Are we all paying 200$ each time to change our wheel configurations? I am tempted next time to not call service lol and just put on the wheels without calibration since its only like 6 months out of the year possibly.
Can't wait until this can all be done by computer without service intervention.

Here was my invoice I don’t really notice any differences picking up the car… if this is the case as long as TPMs works I don’t think I am going to pay 200$ again to re swap back to 19s when needed.

Purchase a second set of TPMS to not have to recalibrate.

other thing was I took the TPMs sensors off my stock 19s so those were actually working I believe..

I have 2 sets of tpms... 1on winter and 1 set for summer wheels. Each time I change wheels I need to pay lucid to program that tpms back into the car. At this point, lucid told me the car can only store 1 set of tpms codes so when you change wheels, those wheels codes need to be reloaded back into the car. Stupid but it's the way it is for now but there is a request submitted to head office to have a way to store and toggle.

On a separate note, I purchased a second set of tpms for my eqs, installed onto my new set of wheels and voila, calibrated within minutes of driving! Wow that was easy!

Then there is no point in buying a second set of TPMS currently.

Do, even if I have Lucid oem 19s and 21s, I need reprogramming at each switch?

Yuk. Most enthusiasts I know in Denver or the mountains have two sets of wheels/tires. Denver Temps range from 105 to minus 20.
Keep the same wheels and just swap the tires. I have a set of winter tires and a set of all-seasons. Discount Tire swaps them for me cheap. No need to get the sensors recaibrated as long as you are on the same wheels.

Eventually, Lucid will make this a user-programmable option. They just have bigger fish to fry at the moment.

I am smiling at your post. Our "Summer tires" in Colorado really are high performance all seasons. A friend just put them on a new RS 6 avant. As you know @joec, Vail Pass can have a blinding snow storm when it's 90 in Denver. With all the hoopla of HL index rating, and more big BEVs, I am guessing the tire selection for us next year will be better.

Agreed. And not trying to take away from the fact that "the glass of water is 95% full."

Speaking of bigger fish to fry - when is our next software update?
