Changing Wheel Size

When we purchased the Gravity, we went for the stylish 22/23" summer wheels, and now we have purchased the 20/21" winter wheels that will be installed by a third party. How do you change the wheel size on the Gravity? From earlier manuals (or maybe just on the Air cars), you used to be able to change it on from the Pilot Panel under Vehicle, Tires. Now there doesn't appear to be an option to change the size. How do I make the change?

How do you change the wheel size on the Gravity?

I've fed the Air and Gravity Owners Manuals to Gemini. I don't have a way to verify the accuracy, so take this with a grain of salt:

Under the Wheels section (page 243) of the Lucid Gravity Owner's Manual, the tire and wheel size configuration is updated on the Pilot Panel (the center lower touchscreen) through the following path:

1. Tap Settings (gear icon) on the Pilot Panel.
2. Select Vehicle.
3. Select Tires (under Seasonal Tire Changes / Wheels).
4. Tap Select Installed Tires.
5. Enter your Profile PIN when prompted.
6. Choose Select Front Tires or Select Rear Tires (Gravity models use a staggered wheel setup, such as 20"/21", 21"/22", or 22"/23").
7. Select your installed tire/wheel size from the list of approved configurations.

Once selected, the vehicle updates its speedometer calibration, odometer tracking, and traction control algorithms. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) will automatically relearn and display new target pressures after driving for approximately 10 minutes.

I reached out to Lucid, and here is their reply:
"You will need to contact customer care to get an over the air update sent to you for the wheels you are installing.
Phone: +1 (888) 995-8243 (24 hours) Text: 888.99.LUCID or 888.995.8243. E-mail: [email protected] (24 hours)"

I wonder why they don't trust us to make the change ourselves.

I wonder why they don't trust us to make the change ourselves.

It took a while to come to Air, and the wheel size affects a bunch of systems. I imagine they simply want to test it more, since it did eventually come to Air.

I guess my call would be rather quick…

Can I change my small wheel calibration to the large wheel front and the medium wheel rear, except a wider 275 front tire and 315 rear tire.
