Ordering the larger size bottle today, thanks!
I finally worked up the nerve to try the Gtechniq CSL ceramic DIY product. I was afraid of leaving the product on too long as the Youtube reviews cautioned against.
I started with my father’s 2011 Toyota Camry with 180K miles in a Gravity-like green color which had been paint-refreshed and polished in the body shop not too long ago. I used the Gtechniq Degreaser as prep, then applied the CSL after 12 hours of drying time. I did not let the CSL sit on the car’s panels longer than 2-3 minutes and lightly buffed it off with microfiber cloths. Two hours later I applied the Gtechniq Ceramic Sealant, and lightly buffed that off using new microfiber cloths. I repeated the process about 8 hours later, using new cloths. All work was done inside my garage in 70-80 degree weather with normal humidity. The car looks fantastic!
Armed with this confidence, I embarked on the second project, my 2022 BMW 740iL M Sport in white with black wheels and trim. I repeated the process, with fantastic results!
I then turned to the front end of my 2018 Tesla Model S which has some major body parts that were recently replaced (ahem) with similar results. The rest of the car had professional ceramic coating applied two years ago. The Tesla is pearl white with black wheels and trim.
Did I apply the Gtechniq products to my 2023 Lucid Air Touring? No, because that car has Stek PPF and ceramic coating already.
Since I just treated these cars with ceramic I cannot speak to durability or longevity but I am very impressed at the results and the ease of application.
The larger size bottle of CSL for $110 probably has enough product left to do my brother-in-law’s Camry!
Highly recommended.
