CarPlay not connecting after iOS update 18.4.1

My CarPlay was working mostly well with only occasional issues while on iOS 18.4. Would intermittently not connect when I would first attempt, but usually plugging the phone in would work, or at worst a reboot of the infotainment system would fix the issue.
Unfortunately after updating the phone to 18.4.1 which was supposed to fix CarPlay connection issues, I no longer can get CarPlay to connect at all. I unpaired and repaired the phone a couple times. I tried rebooting both the car and the phone several times. Nothing seems to get it working. It will recognize CarPlay is available, and will attempt to connect, but will just be stuck on the spinning circle and then eventually give up.

Anyone else having this issue?

I had the same issue happen to me today, @TOJ_Air , but it was before I updated to iOS 18.4.1. After I did the update CarPlay worked perfectly. The release note for iOS 18.4.1 did mention that it addressed a "wireless CarPlay issue with certain vehicles".

Mine was failing both wired and wireless.
But strangely enough, after a couple of days of nothing working, including leaving overnight and trying next day, suddenly it started working when plugged in. Though the first drive like that the sound did not work properly, but I otherwise had the interface. Then on the next drive it seemed to work completely, including sound.
It still won’t connect wirelessly, but seems to connect via USB ok.
