Air touring 2025
First post so pardon me if I’m not posting correctly.

1 week with my new 2025 Air Touring (love it!).
With CarPlay enabled and playing native audio (radio, SiriusXM …) if I open an app, Yelp for this example, and scroll w/i the app car audio is muted/disabled.
If I leave the phone idle audio usually comes back on 10-15 seconds. If I close the app music immediately resumes.

1. Issue not related to the iPhone hw as tested on a couple iPhones (14 and 16 pro).
2. Apple support, of course, blames the car.
- They also noted that the 2025’s are not listed as supported for CarPlay, though previous year models are.
3. Car and phones all on latest supported SW versions.
4. Neither the iPhones nor Air are configured to “listen” and require the button on the steering wheel to be activated.
Please note that I was not driving and ran into this issue while parked and searching for a lunch spot.

This is more an annoyance than anything else but the (retired) engineer in me needs an answer and fix.

Before I reach out to lucid support I want to check this forum to see if this is something anyone else has run into and, of course, see if there’s a resolution.

Thanks!

Pretty sure this is on the phone, not a car issue. The phone has the ability to pause or mute the car's audio temporarily to e.g. deliver a navigation update or notification. I don't know why Yelp would be doing this unless it's trying to play an ad or something, but regardless, if the phone is telling the car to interrupt audio... that's a phone/app problem.

Yeah this happens whenever I open Amazon on my phone too, but it happens in every car where I’m connected via Bluetooth. The phone is very eager to take over the audio whenever it thinks it should.

You can fix this by turning off Bluetooth and using wired CarPlay only, but it’s definitely the phone causing it. Amazon wants you to talk to it for some reason, or play some ad video.

This is exactly the correct reason. If you are scrolling on your phone and on that page is some sort of audio, Apple will pause the current audio and play it. Advertisement, etc. I wish there were a setting on the iPhone but there is not. This is the intended behavior, although it’s annoying.
