This is so weird. I grabbed the keyfob (without a lanyard) to charge at EA tonight. Came back and couldn't find the key fob anywhere. I'm pretty sure it's still in my car because I can drive it without my phone key. Also, if leave the car with my phone, it won't auto lock. I have looked everywhere under my seats, the crevices, under the carpet. Just can't find it. I never got the lanyard that came with the key fobs. Any recommendations for where to look for the keyfob? Also, is there any 3rd party lanyard I can use to tie the key fobs? Many thanks!

I put an Air tag on mine on day 1. Over the last year as the mobile key improved, I've ditched the key fob and now just use my phone and the valet card in my wallet as a physical backup.

Did you sit on it and push it between the Upright seat cushion and base seat cushion so it is wedged there out of site?

Not helpful at all

I've been using this lanyard after it was recommended to me in a separate thread. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BHKBH28?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_23QV7W2HS1N98FSTSCMT&language=en-US

Man! That sucks. It happened to me in the past but not with Lucid. I used a flash light and looked in every nook and cranny and finally found it between the driver's seat and the console between driver and passenger deep inside.

That's horrible. I was positive I'd do that myself. I attached something big and bright to it before I could. I hope you find it.

I'm sorry but I read the header and immediately started laughing. I'm really sorry, but if you have black interior, you will never find that thing.
The lanyard is a whole saga in itself. Yes, you need it. You can use it as bait to lure it into the open.

Also, have you checked your watch pocket? I know some day I'm going to forget and wash it with the jeans.

Checked all my pockets. Also, I'm pretty the key is inside the car. Because I can drive it around without my phone key and another set of cloth and pants.

I mean the most likely place is in between driver seat and console under the driver seat.

Man comes out of a bar and sees another man on his hands and knees under a streetlight.

"You OK buddy?"

" Yeah, I dropped my keys in that dark alley behind me ... I can't find them."

"... In the alley? Why are you looking here?"

"The light's better."

The more I think about this the more it bothers me. I really do hope you find it soon. Get a really really long lanyard.

Wait a few weeks. The battery will be dead by then. So it’ll stop interfering with auto locking. Then get a new fob.

Okay, just kidding. Hope you find it. I dropped mine once between the driver’s seat and console. It wasn’t easy to find, even with my Santa Cruz interior.

I tried my best to locate it with a flashlight, looking at every crevices and corners. Still can't find it. I'm dropping off my car to the service center, asking them unlink and replace the fob.

I lost one recently. Mobile service brought a new one and programmed it (removing the old, lost one) Was $100 for the programming and $92.40 for the fob.

But you didn't lost it in the car, right?
Initially I did assume it must be somewhere in the car, but I never could find it. After looking, I did a test, leaving my phone (mobile key) and the other fob in the house. I wasn't able to start the car. I assume if the fob was inside the car, I'd have been able to start it.
If the lost fob ever shows up, it can be reprogrammed for $100 so you'd have a third fob.
