2026 Lucid Air Touring
Are there any Canadian Lucid Air owners out there?
I would like to know how your experience has been with the Lucid Air.

I am a Canadian Lucid Air owner. I've owned many cars, but Lucid has *the worst* after-sales support and warranty service of *any* manufacturer I have ever dealt with.

I'm confident that I'll win my ongoing buyback case given how dishonest and uncooperative Lucid corporate has been throughout the whole ordeal. Feel free to PM me for deets, but suffice to say that you should *not* get one, especially here in Canada.

Canadian Lucid Owner here. Bought the car new in 2024 (Touring build 04/24, ssp and ddp) in Montréal and always got supreme service. Car (mainly software) is not perfect but didn't get anything more than a few glitches that are easy to live with if your patient enough for a reset. I've been a BMW owner for more than 30 years (my last one was M4) and has accepted not to expect too much on a new car company compare to an century + old one (and they still have a bunch of problems with new models release). The thing is I'm very happy and a bit surprise to have very few problems with my Lucid for similar ride attributes (less weight) but I went on EV for the planet and didn't go with BMW EV because they're ugly (my opinion). Love my Lucid. If your not a bit software oriented person (or permissive) and don't live close to your dealer, this car might not be for you.
Cheers 🍻

Service is beyond atrocious. If you live near a service centre, i'm sure it's decent because you can "pop in" easier. If you live even a little bit far away, they are awful to deal with. Tons of ghosting, needing to follow-up....and despite me CONFIRMING (and having it recorded) that despite me being far from a service centre, if warranty work is needed, they would tow the car, give a rental, etc...just like they would if i was near it.

I've been fighting for months since my dreamdrive pro has not worked (well, it came on twice out of the thousands of hours i've had driving) to get it fixed (still under warranty) and finally, they said they would tow it...as a "one time exception." And they said they wouldn't get a rental until they confirm it was a warranty repair and then gave me a bunch of clauses that it may not be covered under warranty (despite it not being in an accident, no claims, etc...literally no after-market work on it) AND I'd have to find a way to go get the car ~10 hours away from me.

Like ME2U mentioned, this is definitely not a car you buy if you don't live near a service centre OR you value a software experience for your vehicle. Or if you care about customer service. I've owned expensive cars in the past and this is by far the worst experience i've ever had.

The car is brilliant drive, second best EV I've ever driven (second to taycan), gets great range...i said it elsewhere, but it's the anti-EV EV (no range anxiety, drives like it was a lot less than it does, precision handling for a sedan, etc....but yet software and service for a startup is lacking) but I hate to post things like this because i feel this is part of the reason their values are tanking (rivian costing less holds value WAY better despite having more units available on the used market) is stuff like this and they don't care, at all. Or at least, that's what it feels like.

Which service center?

Which service center?
Mostly montreal. I dealt with Toronto once when Lucid HQ referred me to them erroneously (because I'm in Canada, so I should be in Toronto, right?) and they were fine, but they did what everyone in Lucid does: act super nice but end up ghosting you eventually if they can't solve it by "turn it on and off again".

Montreal denied me towing (despite their service advisor that I have recorded saying they either send a tech or tow for warranty stuff) a few times when I asked, told me that I had to basically drive up there, take time off from work, take a hotel and wait until it's diagnosed and fixed and drive back down. Marqie got involved and said the same thing basically. I explained to them how this wasn't reasonable and a warranty item could cost me thousands of dollars (on top of my time) and they offered a "one time exception" for it, but gave me severe caveats that nothing will be covered if it's not covered under warranty (which I understand because that's only logical....but the fact that I've had HORRIBLE experiences in the months I've owned the Lucid, deception, lies, and frustration...I can only assume they're going to find a way for this undamaged, unmodified car to NOT be covered under warranty because..you know, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me if i trust them at all) AND I'll have to still pay to fly there and drive it down or tow it back.

Emptor caveat

Ah, I forgot this was the Canada thread. I legitimately have no idea what the experience is like outside the US.

I will say, the warranty bit is always true; if it is not a warranty issue, then it isn’t a warranty issue, but it sounds like it is.

I don’t know why it’s been so hard to get a tow though; I can understand if you live 30-60 minutes from the service center, then sure, drive it up. But if you’re many hours away that is a different story.

2025 Air Touring owner located in Toronto.

Aside from the typical known issues like door lock/unlock and mediocre software (compared to Tesla since that was my previous car), car has been fantastic overall.

Looks like folks in the Montreal area don't have positive service center experiences but Toronto has been great for me.
Service center folks were super nice and even provided me with a direct contact so i could reach out for feedback/concerns anytime.
There are not many Lucid's in Toronto so I can usually get an appointment fairly quickly

Same here have not had any problems at all

Any Lucid Air owners in Greater Vancouver? Also, anyone in LMD or Greater Vancouver wanting to sell their 20 inch or 21 inch OEM wheels?
