Can we keep thread on subjects?

Yep. It's not perfect, but it works pretty good. I have done it for a couple, but I am going to unblock them in the hopes this thread and it's intention reaches them and they take appropriate change action.
Ditto, except the unblocking part. Life is too short

My concern with repeated thread-spamming posts from those few who've had a truly terrible experience with Lucid is that it will disproportionately influence potential new customers doing research. Knowledge is good, and we all want to go into major purchases with our eyes open, but disgruntled thread spam amounts to throwing a rotten fish into every barrel of apples.

I struggled for 15 minutes or so, trying to come up with that paragraph. Well done, sir.

And as a potential owner, it certainly does. Every time I get close to taking a leap, I read horror stories here and it gives me pause.

As an outsider, I have to admit, it is really hard to gauge how bad things are (or aren't) for current Lucid owners. Based on reading this forum and the Facebook groups (believe it or not, those might be worse) it feels like Lucid ownership is a mixed-bag, at best.

I will say though, I do appreciate the feedback from current owners (negative and positive) in preparation of ownership. This forum is very insightful and I find most discussions to remain mostly respectful.

Yeah, this is precisely the problem. It’s really a fantastic ownership experience, save for a small percentage of unhappy customers; but unhappy customers are also the ones who seek out forums, etc. The happy customers are busy driving.

But I digress.

One thing to also be aware of is sampling bias (self-selection/under-reporting bias.) Those who aren't having problems with their vehicle are out there enjoying it and using it day-to-day. Those who do have issues would be more likely to go online and post about it.

The comments are not weighted, so there's really no easy way to know how prevalent the levels of satisfaction or dissatisfaction are. But they are all coming from personal and real life experience. As you mentioned, the ownership is a mixed bag, you will love the car when it works as expected and you will question your sanity for getting into this nightmare when it doesn't. That's the level of risk you have to be ok with before taking the plunge.
My advice would be to lease to minimize the risk. As it usually happens, I followed the "do as I say but not as I do" approach and I bought the Gravity. I have no one but myself to blame for that.

I think you might be too quick to conclude it's a small percentage. We really don't know.

I'm my own universe and sample, so 100% of my ownership has been a big regret 🙂

On the flip side, 100% of my ownership has been delightful. I am very happy with my Gravity.

I mostly agree with you, but the issue is that you also consistently say there are no stats to back the negative things up, but the opposite is also true.

Truth is even in the best case scenarios, the car has software quirks and it has upper management "quirks" as well. And as with most things, the reality is always somewhere in between.

some will have (or perceive to have) a flawless experience
most will be okay with the small problems they have and/or will have those problems resolved
some will have (or perceive to have) constant troubles

Despite some negative things I've posted, I'm mostly in the middle group. The car drives amazing for how heavy it is and being an EV. Sure it's not the taycan i used to have, but i've not driven any other EV like it. It has tons of features and is designed very well. I've had 2-3 issues that have plagued me constantly and have been left out to dry by the company despite being on warranty.

Honestly, I could actually live with that if the car wasn't as expensive as it is. Maybe it's my prior experience with almost all Porsche products in the past 7-8 years, maybe it's just because I'm more demanding/asshole than others for things I buy...but when it comes to expensive things in life (which, I worked my butt off to get), I expect things to go proportionately as well as the sticker price demands. I decided to go used with Lucid prior to contemplating a new one as it gives me a taste of what it is to be an owner before enjoying something new. I personally have had an experience that tells me it is absolutely not worth the price of admission.

Does that mean it's all horrible? No...but that doesn't mean that if I mentioned the bad things a few times that I'm no less important that someone who constantly talks about how amazing their vehicle is. For a forum of lucid enthusiasts, there's a higher proportion of people having issues than let's say the competitor I mentioned previously in this case (porsche).

People should just be aware. I contemplated a giulia quad a few times...and everyone LOVES the drive..you're just gambling on other issues. I'm not saying lucid is less reliable, but it's still the reality that you are taking some gamble, especially for the price.

Very well said

IMO, this is exactly what these folks are trying to do: hurt the company and gain revenge for selling them a crappy car.

Interestingly, I can pretty much identify five or six posters from memory here who have had really negative experiences because they are so persistent in their complaining. Counter that with many hundreds who are very satisfied with their Lucid experience.

Maybe also seeking sympathy and confirmation. It's a normal human tendency in all walks of life. No one wants to be alone.

We have 1 Air and 2 Gravities and they have all been great vehicles with no significant issues - so 300% of our ownership has been fab!

I am in no place to judge your ownership, but this isn't objective. It's like saying everything about the car has been negative to you. If that's the case; it brings a bigger question because there's no way a car you researched can be 100% negative. Now there might be things about the car that make your ownership experience 100% negative. If that's how you are getting your 100%, it is understandable. Likewise most ownerships can't be 100% positive for the same reason. But none of this is a problem; it becomes a problem when you keep mentioning all over the place. I hope that makes sense to you, but if not fine.

We are starting to digress into pros/cons of Lucid ownership even in this thread about keeping threads on topic 🤣. Can moderators/admins move sets of posts?

What was the question

You are right, not everything is negative about the car, just the aspect I have trouble with. I jokingly said 100% referring to the ratio of owners with issues to the ones with trouble free Gravitys.
I'll leave it here so I don't stray away from the original topic, thanks.
