Lucid Air Grand Touring
Does anyone have any idea how I could get Lucid to make black carpet floor mats? My car has the black and tan seats with tan carpet. The tan floor mats that came with the car show too much road grime, so I switched to the black rubber all weather mats. Esthetically speaking, they look like something that goes in a work truck and not a $140,000 car. I just ordered the graphite carpets mats thinking they might be black, but they’re just grey.

How can I get Lucid to make some black carpeted floor mats for the Lucid Air? Surely other people would like them as well since they don’t show dirt and grime like the lighter color mats.

No need to convince them :)

I did get the graphite mats, but they’re grey. Not even a dark grey 😢😢

I just looked at the picture in the link…maybe they sent the wrong ones as those pictures look pretty close to black to me. The ones I got were darker than a light grey, but a medium grey at best (but still to light than what I’d like to have).

Thanks for your reply!

If you don't mind forgoing the logo, you could go with Lloyd Mats. They make some of the best carpeted mats in the business, especially if you spring for their Lux line, which offer very deep, plush carpet. They allow you to choose your color and piping color, too. I've had them in previous cars and they've always been great.

I think they are all black if you flip them over. If you can sacrifice fitment until you find the ones you want.

I bought Lloyd Black carpet mats for my Model S and they were a lot better than the factory carpet mats. I also bought the carpet mat for the trunk and it was excellent!!

They’re not even close to black 🤦🏻‍♂️ barely a tad darker than the ceramic.

Right? The “graphite” mats look black on their website so I ordered them. But they are just a medium gray at best and far lighter than pictured online. I’m very disappointed and going to return them.

I agree. They are clearly lighter than the graphite mats pictured online which look to be black. Sad that Lucid could screw up something so simple.

Thank you for the info on Lloyd’s!

Same here, I ordered the dark gray ones and returned them as they were light gray, nothing like the picture. I want black mats. Alos, so annoying the OEM carpets do not reach under the pedals. In a few months the carpets will look rough.

Tahoe interior and knew from day 1 that floor carpet would be a problem. Tried other color Lucid mats and as above not dark enough. Also wrong size. On driver side the mat could go forward another two to three inches and not interfere with pedal and give better coverage. On passenger side it's worse. Carpet should go 7-12 inches longer so it goes up the angled firewall.

Temporarily I have black carpets ( extra from old Tesla Model S). Lloyd will not extend their passenger mat beyond the flat floor (too bad). Still searching.

PS: to me the perfect mat would match the dark graphite front seat color with caramel dots or stitching to continue the two color theme (tried coconuts but wife says rough surface would snag material of long skirt). Anybody find a vendor?

I run several companies and where is the leadership here? It makes me wonder what the Lucid executives drive everyday. If I was CEO of Lucid, I’d have black floor mats in production and available in six weeks.

As someone who mistakenly bought a lot of Lucid stock, it’s apparent why the stock has failed miserably. If you can’t excel at the simple things, how can anyone expect you to master the big things?

Lloyd matts must be be afraid of it curling backwards if it extends up the side.

I'm in Canada, and have used these liners - Mat Metrics - https://matmetrics.ca/ You can modify your original mats to snap into their liner. Great for the winter.
I'm not sure if they have Lucid scanned.....

They don't make Lucid from what I can see, I shot them an email to see if they have plans to or will do a custom piece. They look plush, the lux would be nice to have. (For date night, and back to rubber mats for the day to day)
