So I ordered the Lucid Bear center caps thinking I would replace the "Lucid" labeled center caps in the Plastic 19" Aero Range wheel covers. But that doesn't seem to be the case. I have tried many things to remove the center cap including a 2" levered suction cup, but nothing works. The backside has a mechanism that looks like it would release the center cap, but I haven't been able to. Has anybody done this?

The Bear center caps are meant to go in the center of your wheels without covers. The Lug nut covers are meant to cover up the lug nuts.

Thanks, that is certainly not clear looking at the product page. I think I'll just return them as I'm not really interested in lowering my range approximately 30 miles or 6% for a slight visual upgrade. Hmm... I think.

So I'm a bit torn. The wheel covers are pretty nice - sleek and understated, and more range is always nice. Without the covers it's more blingy with the shiny metal, and the brake calipers look cool as does the bear. It would be nice to have the option to put the bears on the covers.

You could do 100mi or so both ways and calculate the difference! :)

For what its worth, on my 20" wheels (Touring), removing the Aero caps had zero effect on efficiency or range.
