2025 Lucid Air Pure
I'm used to the weekly reboots for audio, especially when it involves SiriusXM, but for some reason, ALL of my apps, including car play via BlueTooth have started glitching. I mean like 90's audio CD's on a bumpy road glitchy. I'm also experiencing hiccups, or massive hiccups that cause the audio to stretch and slow down. This happens across every app. Initially a reboot would resolve it, at least until I parked it again, but not it's happening immediately after a reboot. Cellular signal shows 2-3 bars, so I don't think that's the issue, and to reiterate, bluetooth does this as well. I can't seem to figure out a way to force audio over the USB cable from my phone (is that even possible on this car? it was on my old one).

It's gotten so bad I'm having to listen to my phone over its tiny speaker because the audio system just grates on my nerves. It's like a badly damaged CD, or a really crappy Zoom or Teams call. Robotic sounds, hiccups, cutouts, or the audio just stops working in all apps.

Rebooting no longer seems to help.

Any suggestions? I'm beyond frustrated.

I've always called this the "garbled audio" issue. Everything is terribly choppy and slightly slowed-down from normal. It's happened to me at least 30 times in the past 10 months. What's intriguing is that it affects all audio, even the UI feedback sound that plays when you tap different elements on the Pilot Panel. Sort of like an "audio processor" problem, as the music source has nothing to do with it. Sometimes it'll be present as soon as I enter the car, other times it has shown up suddenly while driving around. No apparent cause. I've also heard it fix itself a couple minutes later. My go-to remedy is to pull over and conduct a Logo Reset; this does fix it for that specific instance 100% of the time (at least in my cases). I haven't seen anyone mention a Service-applied solution, so I suppose we're just waiting for an OTA update to address it.

Unsure if this is related, but I also currently have an audio "click/pop" that occurs every 15 seconds or so, and is only really noticeable at higher volumes. Haven't tested if it's present from sources other than SiriusXM.

Thanks for replying. It's good to know I'm not the only one! I don't have the 15 second popping issue, but I definitely have the garbled audio you describe. At this point, even reboots, which would work until I parked and shut of the car, started hiccuping again as soon as the car came back on. I have the service guys coming out to look at the front trim for the frunk issue that's been reported. He said he would look at the radio while they were here.

I've had this problem for awhile. I have been able to see the issue when running a complex GPS route and trying to listen to SiriusXM, other audio sources don't seem to be as bad. It has the classic feeling of the CPU pegging at 100% and/or memory starvation. It has become really bad since the last update with Android Auto. Perhaps today's release (2.7.1) has a fix for the problem.

I don't see 2.7.1 as available yet. I agree this look very much like a CPU issue given it affects all audio sources. I did finally figure out how to force connection via USB but haven't had the chance to try that yet. I have some errands to run today, so I'll be able to test this as well. I suspect even the USB source will have the same issue given the way it affects all other modes.

Does anyone have the release notes for 2.7.1? I'm on a different release schedule apparently and probably won't see it for a day or two.

when you say reboot, which one? Full (x + mic + brake pedal) or soft (hold air logo)?
They are the same. Both reboot the infotainment system, and the infotainment system alone. You would use the brake pedal reset when you can’t access the air logo (aka the pilot panel isn’t working, or similar).

The only other reset is letting the car fall asleep and waking it up again, which resets all of the systems.

There is also the “Bobby” reset, where you switch profiles and go back again, which sometimes helps.

The reset I know is via the Lucid ligo. What is this reset? “x + mic + brake pedal”

What is the “x”?
