Any word if Lucid will be getting a native Apple Music app? Or at least ability to stream Dolby atmos over CarPlay?

Maybe CarPlay Ultra?!

Unlikely.

I don't like Carplay, but the Tesla native version really isn't much better except UX is easier (like you can tap and artist and see more of it, and add to your library in a way that at least makes sense).

I've considered Tidal or Spotify since I do like the way Lucid did the Sirius app.

Good to know.

Sigh….. like Lucid, Volvo runs AAOS and they’re offering Apple Music natively now with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. I really wish Lucid would add the app to the Air & Gravity.

Yes, please, please give us Apple Music App. Tidal is great sounding but I have way too many subscriptions already and since I already have Apple One, I would be able to cut one of those subscriptions. Apple Music also has better interface than Tidal.

💯 - I have Apple one also. Nothing against TiDAL but if I can drop a subscription I’ll gladly do it 😊

We can hold it against Tidal that their app is complete garbage and trying to use it is the single worst thing about having a Lucid. lol

Tidal also has a much smaller catalogue of Atmos tracks and makes it difficult to find tracks that do have ATMOS. I would drop Tidal instantly if Lucid built a native Apple Music app.

Question is, is the Tidal app designed by Tidal or by Lucid?!

Yeah, seems like we subscribe to every streaming service going and my two adult kids share also. With Netflix, Disney/Hulu and others now limiting this sharing we are having to alternate who gets access to which streamer each month. Daughter gets Netflix, Son get Disney Hulu, we have HBO Max. Then next month rotate. Nice thing about Apple One is we can share between us, no problem.

Agreeed. I'd drop Tidal like a hot potato.

Just going to drop this here @marqie. Hmmm…… wonder what Lucid has a similar screen size / layout and runs AAOS like this Rivian 🤔😉😛

CarPlay supposedly supports Spatial Audio , so I assume the ball is in Lucid’s hands

This would also be ok as an option for me!

Same. I like lossless but tidal ain’t it. Just the only game in town today

Another crazy option. Bring back Alexa as an option. With Alexa in the car we used to have access to atmos via voice and it sounded great!. Not ideal but it allowed for an option outside tidal. At home all our Alexa devices do just fine navigating both Amazon Music and Apple Music and probably is fine with Spotify.

On this forum it has been stated that Amazon is no longer enhancing Alexa (opinion or fact i do not know) or that lucid made the switch to LA for that and/or additional reasons. based on what I see as a consumer Alexa is still alive!
