Sometimes I can't initiate the charge through my EA app. Is there any way to prevent plug and charge through Lucid so that I could use my EA account to pay for charging?

Why are you using the EA app when it can be all handled through the Lucid App?

I guess you can call Lucid CS and have them unenroll your car from the EA plug and play program. But you may be able to get the same rates through Lucid's program.

Initiation with the EA android app is spotty for me. Sometimes it'll initiate fine and I get charged through the EA app. Other times it'll hang at the initiation screen and I would have to plug in first to begin the charging and get charged through Lucid.

Just talked to CS and they said that removing the cc from the Lucid wallet should remove the plug and charge. I couldn't remove the subscription plan from the upgrade section however as there was no option. I'll try and charge in a couple of days to see if this works.

...and I take it that the rate you are being charged through Lucid is higher, or you wouldn't be wanting to switch. I have not activated the Lucid Charging - Base Plan, so I can't see the details, but does it allow you to select which vendors to run through their infrastructure, such that you could just turn EA off? Or, does it allow you to enter any specific vendor discount codes into their system? I can see why they might not have the former, because you would not be plugging into their charger if you didn't want to use them, but it seems like the latter option should have been built in, or that Lucid should have pre-arranged a comparable rate plan discount. Sorry. Grasping at straws here.

The rate that Lucid currently offers is the same rate that the EA charger displays without the discounted pass plan, the base plan. There isn't any options to select other vendors as I believe plug and charge is offered only through EA. There wasn't any way to turn off the plug and charge through the Lucid home page or app, thus if the EA app doesn't initialize the charging first, then plugging in will automatically revert to Lucid charging you on the base EA rate. EA's pass plan allows for 25% discount on the base rate. It would've been nice to allow for more options through the app but would prefer them to get this sorted out so we can charge on the EA discounted rate. Other vendors wouldn't have this issue as the plug and charge feature is limited only to EA.

Can't you just initiate the charge through the app first before plugging in? I did that before to test if the speeds were the same paying vs free.

The EA app is spotty for me and just hangs at the initialization stage when trying to charge through the app before plugging in.

To increase your chances of success, you might want to remove your credit card on file with the Lucid Charging - Base Plan, as well.

FYI I think they are working on a program so you could get pass(like) discounts through plug and charge. Hopefully later this year.
