Anyone else kind of sick of the Gravity negative posts?

This thread has clearly turned into one guy refusing to concede anything vs everyone else trying to plead their case in vain. It’s frankly played out, and risks becoming more personal.

We’re all mostly talking to walls here. So I’m shutting this down.

My suggestion is for everyone to try and listen and, just for kicks, concede that someone else might actually have a point, regardless of whether it matches your experience exactly.

I appreciate those who have tried to have a fruitful exchange. Many of you truly are trying. But it’s not working out.

As much as I love to see more positivity here, this thread is anything but.

This forum is meant to be an exchange of ideas. Not merely a platform for ranting into the void.

Read more. Write less. That would be my best advice. And if you want more positive threads, tell your positive stories. Share your great experiences. We’ve had great success with threads in this vein.

Threads that try to tell others how to feel are never successful on this forum.

Based on my, and other people's experience here. I have on idea why you think mentioning terms like "race conditions" and "concurrency" makes sense. I mean, I know what they mean, but I doubt most people here do. The likely reason for that particular bug is different, but there is no point discussing things like that here.

I’m discussing software engineering. Of course I would use terms that relate to the art/practice of software engineering.

If we were discussing plumbing, I’m sure I’d probably be talking about pex or copper or something else; I have no idea, I’m not a plumber.

The facts are that Lucid doesn't do proper software engineering.

That, as stated, is your opinion, not facts.

Maybe that approach works for web development, but not for cars. And, now thinking, I don't remember seeing that many bugs on websites either. I guess Lucid is worse than that.

I don’t know how to break this to you, but every single website you use has bugs. Every piece of software you use has bugs.

Every time you hear of a security vulnerability, for example, in a published piece of software… that started as a bug.
