There's a hardware chip update for Airs manufactured prior to 2025 model year that ups the UX speed/responsiveness and will likely be required for the common big. 3.0 update in the fall. If you have a 2025 you're already good.

From what my neighbor told me (who works for Lucid) will 100% be required for update… and moving forward there will be no feature updates unless that is installed… :)

Nick Twork even confirmed that UX3.0 will require the hardware update months ago.

Volvo isn't explicitly offering this upgrade program. I have to convince my local service department to do it. Verry different from Lucid.

Similar to the Polestar 3 updated CPU? It was always stated that early 3s would be updated. Mine just was - new software, but nothing noted. Old CPU wasn't being updated, though.

At least Lucid is allowing us to pay to upgrade the computer! Look at all the Tesla folks on HW2 that need to buy a WHOLE NEW CAR In order to get new features on our cars!
WE ARE LUCKY!

You can’t have FSD on a 2024 or older Rivian… I personally am thankful for Lucid even allowing this!

They're a giant Saudi backed company not our friends. If they said the car was supposed to have certain features and doesn't you can and should sue. Acura did the same thing for Android Auto on the old RDX and we got a settlement because of it.

Yeah. And he also confirmed that the upgrade would be available to order on the Referral Store approaching three months ago. I guess that was one way to reduce Service Center workloads as many of us with points chose to be Waiting for Godot.

I'd talk to an attorney before you start throwing out the S-word talking with Lucid (or any company). It also has to be a broken, warranty/service/repair issue, not just a "they said they thought they'd get this in time" kind of thing.

No, just the infotainment CPU for better app performance - mapping, etc. The ADAS CPU will remain as it is. There is no promise or expectation of added functionality, but I still consider it money well spent for a snappier interface - if I can convince Volvo to do it.
 
After three and a half years, and some trying intervals with what were minor inconveniences, my AGT is by far the best car I have owned. I expected glitches with a new model in its first year and it is the first time I bought a first model year car. I am sorry that there are those in this thread that are disappointed in Lucid. Mine is a joy to drive. Essentially no maintenance aside from specified interval service. Is it flawless and bullet proof? No, but it comes close. The design is to me as fresh as when I got mine in late 2022 and it has been durable inside and out. I am confident that OTAs will be forthcoming and I am not impatient. The AGT has everything I need and nothing that I do not. This is saying a lot, but having owned several generation 911s, a couple of Panamera GTSs and as a lifelong fan of Porsche, my gut is that the Air will endure like the 911 with evolutionary periodic physical design changes and unlike the 911 relatively frequent OTAs. If it does not endure with successive iterations it still will have been a terrific ride.

That may or may not be. Coming before 3.0 and may or may not the last one.

April gone may be he meant April of some year or its April fools joke. Lucid never miss to miss timelines 🤣
As in the other chat they mentioned about V2H around end of year and not end of Q2 as mentioned before.

Question? I have a 2022 AGT and do not have the new hardware update. My car is doing just fine without it. Will this be a problem for me if I decide to continue with my original software and not be able to get the latest updates, since you state that UX3.0 will require the newer hardware. I'm not having any problems and am OK with what I have. Will this create future problems for me If I decide to stay with what I have and not upgrade to the newer hardware?

A problem? No. However, it seems that some of the newer features will require a hardware upgrade to take advantage of them. Certainly your car will continue to work the same way it is doing so now without that.

This is correct. Some, but not all, new feature will be dependent upon the newer chip.
