The other day, I somehow accidentally reset my Trip A counter on the pilot panel; I must’ve brushed that spot, perhaps as the display was retracting or coming out again. While losing my Trip A mileage is not the end of the world, it would feel like a bit of a disaster if the same thing happened with Trip B, which is my lifetime tracking!

Is there any way to lock these buttons? Some setting that would perhaps have it display as “locked” and need to be toggled elsewhere before it could be reset?

If this doesn’t exist, it should! It’s a small thing, but I think something really worthy of the software team considering.

Alternatively, has anyone MacGyvered some kind of physical barrier to attach there, to avoid this issue? Obviously, touching that spot on the screen is likely useful on other pages… So it would probably need to be able to be lifted up or folded back…. (so yeah, a software fix would be more straightforward!)

I wish. This is my living daily anxiety lol

Ughhh...I reset TRIP B this morning. Was away for a week, cleaned the car and with a quick draw, reset the wrong Trip...my lifetime tracking. I guess my daily anxiety can now be at rest...My nightmare has happened. 🤮😂

Too bad the vehicle does not track lifetime kWh added. Then, we could pull the number off the API and at least calculate our miles perk per kWh using the odometer.

I live in fear my wife will brush up against the reset. It’s for that reason I never leave that screen exposed and only glance at it when needed. Even if they implemented a long press for reset, that would generally take care of the problem.
