What is the tip to get the app to wake up the Gravity after it has been in sleep mode? About every other time, the app has a continuous swirling circle of death while the app says the vehicle is waking up and it never wakes the car up. I have tried it on both WIFI and cellular. Restarting my phone just made the app crash when I tried to open it! When it is a problem, it is a problem for my spouse's app too. I try to turn the climate on but I get a message that the windows are open and to close them in the toolbar. Which I can't access because the app is waking the car up.

We had this problem plenty of times with our Tesla app and there was no solid solution. I suppose I could do the old-fashioned trick and just go to the vehicle. But that doesn't seem like a satisfactory long-term solution.

Where is it parked? Do you have good AT&T service?

It is parked on the street in front of our house. We seem to have good AT&T service on our phones in our house, so I would gather the same for the vehicle.

Lucids just wake up slow via the app.

Not the gravity. Mine (and others) generally wakes in only a few seconds as of a couple updates ago.

Well I am going to back out of the thread I clearly know nothing about :)

had this happen a few times. Every time I had to reboot the car to make it work again (a few times I noticed it would not connect to the home wifi either and a reboot fixed it). Like on some home routers, maybe we need the ability to schedule a nightly reboot of the car at the time of your choosing.

Does yours eventually wake up via the app? When the app won't wake ours up, it just won't, at least in the time frame we need it to.
Unless my car is in the dreaded “vehicle offline” state, it always wakes up within 5-10 seconds of launching the app. Turning on climate control can sometimes take longer or a couple of tries, but for the most part that is reliable too.

I am reupping this thread to see if anyone else has an answer. It is getting worse for us and is essentially unusable because it only wakes up at all 10% of the time. Which means we have no functionality to lock or unlock doors and of course no option to warm up the vehicle. My Honda Accord has more remote functionality than this! Even after I drove the car this am, the app still wouldn't wake up when I got back into the house. I am really worried about a time when I am away from home and need the app and it isn't available. Again, it doesn't matter if we are on wifi or cellular. Thanks

Connectivity has gotten a lot better last 2 weeks or so. I have not had any issues accessing the vehicle using the app. One thing I did do is switch to guest profile and disassociated the key fob from the owners profile. Not sure if that did it but Wifi and LTE have been solid (except once and I attributed that to cell service as the car came back online next I tried)

Thanks. Will try this. Did you then reassociate the key fob with the owners profile? And did it still work?

No they key is still dissociated so the guest profile is the last used profile and stays active.

My Gravity also has almost never worked in the app unless connected to my house WiFi. It is always "Vehicle Offline". I applied 3.3.9 on Monday, and on two occasions Tuesday the vehicle was online when I was out and about. Since then, nothing. No matter where I go it is not working. And I do not believe it is a cell service problem, as the map data / searches / traffic data are all working fine in the car where ever it's sitting. Which requires the cellular data connection to be working fine. Those two occasions yesterday were the only times I saw the car online away from my house since i took delivery on Oct 31.

I will say that for me, as soon as I come home and the car is back on WiFi it shows up in the app just fine. So at least I can preheat in the morning, and I can verify that the random way the car interprets scheduled charging actually works before I go to bed.

So I guess I would say that to me it seems like a platform problem, and they'll presumably fix all of us when they are able.

Have the same issue. Deleted and reinstalled app. Turned of and restarted my phone
Reset the gravity
Added more WiFi reception to the car in my gravity.
Even then it won’t wake up from sleeping mode. In winter not being able to remote start the car is a horrible experience. Plus my steering barely heats up when I do it manually from the car.!

Same issue here. "Vehicle offline" most of the time, no rhyme or reason. (Gravity GT, Android app) Would love a fix for that!

Drive the lucid gravity today and for some reason it’s now again connecting to the app

This mirrors my experience. The workaround that worked for me is to just turn wifi off completely in the connectivity menu in the Pilot Panel so the car uses cellular all the time.

This has the side effect of live view never loading. But most everything else works. The app is always quick to show that it's connected to the car, but the interior temperature takes a few seconds to refresh and load.

I disabled my Wi-Fi completely. So far since then the app is syncing much better and even gave me the push for the new software. Software installed seamless over the air without Wi-Fi in 45 min
