WOW! I think this finally makes it usable, the previous format was too much of a compromise.
Of course my car is in service, so I will have to take your word for it

No, this is just an alpha version for now, and I'm only showing what was already revealed at Google I/O But I really wanted to share that it's real, it's working as advertised, and it's going to be incredibly cool.

Damn, I was about to run out to my car and see if it was working now. Oh well, still cool for when it finally happens.

Same with the EV features that still aren't working (SOC prompt and arrival prediction). Still no clue why Battery Predictions fails to show up when adding the Gravity vehicle profile to Google Maps.

So is this something that is 'just going to work' once the Android Auto gets updated on the phone, or is this something we're going to have to wait for Lucid to actually implement and provide in an OTA?

Only the Android app needs to be updated. For the full screen and YouTube, it’s projection.gearhead, but I think some of the functions are also tied to Maps. Either way, no changes are required from Lucid since everything is working fine for me.

it's probably not for Projected Android Auto, but for Android Automotive Embedded (where Android infotainment is embedded, like Volvo, Polestar, some GMs etc)
