Android Auto Thursday

Well as one of the longstanding members with an Android, here at a time when some of you remember that silver was an option that wasn't an option (I waited for Cosmos Silver AND the 20 inch wheel option!), it's here..

I briefly had Carlinkit before I returned it. This seems smoother for connection this far.

Tried to add an image.

Farewell Here Maps....

Really glad to have AA, just can't get over how small the screen is! I wonder if 3.0 will change the format of the display to allow for more of the left side of the screen real estate to be utilized? I'm guessing this is something I won't even notice after a week of use.

This is a limitation of Apple and Google that requires you to have a rectangular viewport. 3.0 won’t change this.

Just got the notification...even though I'm 400miles away from home..I had to update it...hope it goes smoothly... tomorrow driving back home and will be using Google Maps to take me home...woohoo...! So excited ..thanks Lucid...
Don't forget to stop for a charge!

yeah, as mentioned it's more about whether they might be able to utilize this left side of the screen more with 3.0 to extend the size of the rectangle:

Yes. I received and installed the update this morning. Tomorrow will be my final quote on patience. I would like to Thank everyone for putting with my quotes on patience for the last two plus years.
I’ve learned a lot

Hopefully the book is still in the Amazon return window

Thank you! I have enjoyed your weekly quotes and am sorry to see them end. However, I can now install my update as it would not have felt right to get it before you. OK, soft reset, make the sign of the cross, mutter the words "Abracadabra -Shazam", and hit install....

Ha! Successfully installed. My routine has never failed me yet 🙃

Received the update. Oh, gosh, now what are we going to complain about? <g>

Just installed this, and am disappointed so far, but maybe (almost certainly) there's something I don't understand.

First, is there a wake word to invoke Alexa?

Second, even if I click on the microphone icon, Alexa doesn't understand any of the commands that it used to, or that it does on my phone.

I'm sure (or hopeful) that there's just some configuration option that I haven't enabled yet.

Alexa?

I'm extremely pleased with how Android Auto is supported in the 2.7.0 update.

Android Auto seamlessly shares data with the Lucid system. ABRP automatically gets the data it needs like battery state of charge. Android Auto is also sending turn-by-turn directions and media information like album art over to the driver's display.

It took two and a half years to get this. But I am glad it's here. Super pleased that abrp automatically gets data from the car.
