I, too, paused when I saw this. I am a huge fan of the Lucid driving experience, but after almost four years with one in the garage, now two, and a third on the way, I can honestly say I would not have a Lucid if it were my only car. I'm even becoming worried about having Lucids as our only three cars and am considering holding on to our Honda Odyssey a while longer. (The last two times we drove to the Miami Service Center, first to take delivery of our Gravity and then to pick it up from service for a looming road trip, we had to leave our Air behind -- the first time to have frunk struts and latches replaced and the second to have a turn signal module replaced and failure of DreamDrive to engage diagnosed.)
My brother, who has been mightily impressed with our Air and was even more so with the Gravity he drove on our visit to him this week, has been chomping at the bit to replace his 2018 Model 3 with the Gravity Earth. But he is now a one-car household and, in light of my current travails with the Gravity, I am advising him to reconsider getting a Lucid -- at least during the first couple of years of a model introduction. Yes, there is a service center about 20 miles from him in Roswell, and yes, Lucid will supply a loaner or put him in a rental car. But that does not always happen as quickly as you might like or need with that being your only car.
