AirPlay/AA / PAAK / Mic Update - next update

lI'm very happy hear about CarPlay and a fix for the microphone. I have TWO microphone problems: (1) the volume to the other caller is too low (I assume that is what is bing fixed) and (2) every 5th call (or so) is hopelessly distorted, to the point where you can't tell the other person is even talking (and they can't hear me, either). Is this problem also going to be fixed?

People complain about bugs, but my GGT has only one remaining significant bug and one somewhat-less-significant design defect. The design defect is that the heads-up display cannot be adjusted for tall drivers. At its max adjustment, it is still quite high on the windscreen and distorted. If I scrunch down, it looks great across the bottom of the windshield and not distorted.

The remaining bug is a big one. DreamDrive Pro is dangerous for 3 reasons: (1) It reads the lines on the exit ramps and starts to steer over there, then jumps back into lane--not smoothly. (2) And it is reading exit ramp recommended speeds if you set the speed to be based on posted speed limit (so it will speed up and slow down with changes in the speed limit, presumably speed limit changes for the main highway rather than the exit ramp I'm not taking). This leads to the car suddenly slowing down as you pass an exit ramp, and I need to take control immediately and apply more throttle. (3) Similarly, it will drop DreamDrive suddenly without warning and without a loud alert. When it isn't doing one of these three things (or all of them) it's great, but I'm a bit frightened to use it until this is fixed.

In summary, great about CP and AA, but having 2 very expensive options I can't use is far more frustrating.

Sounds a bit like enhanced autopilot. Since I got my 2018 Model 3 to this day it follows exit lines then "realizes" its mistake and jerks back. It got better and worse for awhile until they stopped updating EAP entirely and just left it broken. It often reads the wrong speed limit but at least Tesla does not slow it down in EAP.

Sorry to hear Tesla stopped updating EAP... With the Gravity you can have it maintain the speed you set, but what's the point of reading the speed limit signs if they can't help you set the appropriate cruising speed. I have mine set to maintain 10 MPH over the posted speed limit, but I'm probably going to change it to ignore "posted speed" and just hold the speed I set.

With DDP in Gravity, when you set car to read speed limits, you can set a speed above the limit for it to cruise. The only problem is that DDP keeps reading the exit ramp speed limits and cutting the cruising speed. So in my case I have system set to 8 mph over speed limit, But when cruising on highway, it reads 70 mph limit, sets speed to 78 and then quite often, it will read a 40 mph exit ramp and suddenly cut speed to 48 mph.

Exactly! I think this is dangerous so I’m going to stop setting speed according to “posted speed limit.” Lucid should at least ignore the YELLOW speed warning signs…or beep and give the option to maintain speed.

They normally ignore those signs. This seems like a bug.

I'm curious if you'll be able to run the Lucid nav on the bottom for battery preconditioning and Waze on the top screen at the same time

This is not unique to Gravity. Had the same issue with my last vehicle. It reads the signs, and it could see those exit ramp signs and do the same thing. I get that Tesla and I guess a few others are better at it, but most are not. As others have mentioned, turn that speed limit function off and just set your speed. It's much safer and smoother that way. I fully believe, eventually, Lucid will improve the system and it won't have that issue, but that's the way it is today. Take it or leave it...
