Hello all.

Picked up a new 2026 Lucid AGT. Zenith Red/DD pro/Mojave leather interior/stealth package/20" wheels. Drove it long distance back home yesterday. Loved the drive. Drove the 300m commute back home with no charging needed. Got home with 20mls left on charge.:). Used both the on board navigation and ABRP on Android. Both recommended no charging stops.

Have an issue though. When I was on highway could not get the adaptive cruise control and hands free to work. When I pressed the adaptive cruise control button on the steering wheel: it shows up on the display as being engaged. But the car slows down(regen was on and set at standard) like what would happen if I took my feet of the accelerator. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Will a soft or hard reset fix it? Or should I call Lucid service?

Couple of questions as well.

1. On the drive back, efficiency was around 2.7m/kWh. Thought the norm was closer to 4ish? The air temp was in the low 30s F, the car is new and I did push the car some. May have something to do with the low efficiency I guess. Was wondering if it will improve over time?
2. My previous EV was a Porsche Taycan. I could set the car to finish charging at a certain time(for example 6AM everyday when I leave for work) and precondition the cabin as well to a set temperature by 6AM. With the Lucid under the charging tab, I only see an option to set the charge start time? Is there an option to set the stop time or to precondition the cabin at a set time in the morning?

Car drives great otherwise. The delivery experience was good as well. Was a little delayed. But the person told me that they delivered 14 Gravity SUVs that day in this one location and they have 12-14 to deliver today. Must be all the year end incentives they have

Thank you all in advance!

If you pressed the button to set the speed and it didn’t work, then just letting the car sit overnight will fix it. Irritating but my car will also fail to engage hands free or adaptive on rare occasions but it works the next day

Congratulations on your AGT. Amazing car. 2.7 miles/kWh is probably less than what you will get on the same drive in warmer weather. I got 3.4 on an 1800 mile cross country trip in mid-30 degree weather on winter compound tires and the elevation change was gradual from about sea level in New England to 5k ft. in CO. The hands free and adaptive feature is occasionally delayed for me but engages after a few moments. Stopping and letting the car reset usually fixes faults, but you may want to record the problem in a text to service.

Not to be THAT person, but did you press both buttons? The first to set it, then press the dial button above it to actually engage it? I may know from experience of not pressing the second button 😂

I also had a previous ev with this feature and have missed in especially as the temps have dropped. At this time the Air does not have this feature. Currently my work around is charging to 70 overnight and then changing the changing slider to 80% an hour before my departure time. I also activate climate about 10 - 15 minutes before I leave.

I think I did that. Just to be sure: need to engage the adaptive cruise first and then press the button above it to activate hands free?

Thank you all for the reply

Have not driven it today

Will report back if it starts working

The second button is to activate DDPro. The first button with the steering wheel icon is just to access it. Hands free will be determined if it’s in an approved area (divided highway/freeway)

So an update: the adaptive cruise and drive assist does not work. Car is 2 weeks old. Tried all the steps multiple times. ""Adaptive cruise " shows up on the cockpit panel and the set speed shows up the circle when I press the sliver toggle button on the steering wheel. But it all stays grayed out and the car decelerates as soon as I take my foot off the pedal...

Dream drive does not even engage

Silver lining thru all this: Lucid has been very responsive. They set up to have the car transported to the nearest service center at the earliest (few hundred miles away) gave me a rental car for the time I don't have the car.

Been happy with the SA and the contact person for service so far.. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be sorted out

Other than that, been an incredible experience with driving it so far....I had the Taycan before the Air GT...

Will keep updating this thread

I just returned from an 1800 mile trip on Jan 7th and I had the same problem after a charge stop for the last 300+ miles. At the next stop I did an Air logo reset and then a hard microphone/X/brake reset which did not fix the problem. It wasn't until after I got home and left it sleep overnight that it worked again in the morning. Please let us know what service finds out about your car.

It sounds like a bug but a very challenging one because it seems to be random, inconsistent.

Tried everything including soft, hard reset, turning it off and letting it sleep overnight.. Nothing worked

Update: vehicle was taken on a trailer to King of Prussia. Been really happy with the service so far. Only hitch was the transport company showed up a day later than scheduled (not Lucid's fault).

The service advisor has been constantly keeping me updated. They ran the tests.. Lucid told them to replace the ACU triple board: it reportedly works with the center console controller...

They think the car will be ready for transport back in few days

Lucid has refused to help me with dreamdrive pro. It has never worked since I got it and they refuse to take it in because I'm far from their service centre and it's not something that needs to be serviced for it to work.

I was told it was on highlighted/bolded roads...and none of those work, including major highway. The hands free has just never popped up on the vehicle at all. It's by far the worst thing I've had about my lucid. The indifference from the service centres (I dealt with two) and the company itself for not having a feature that I paid for is frustrating and my apathy finally won out because it's not worth fighting this company.

ACC works for me though. Just DDPro/hands free doesn't.

(side note in case someone chimes in, all types of resets have been done, confirmed the car had it from the factory, etc.)

hopefully you have better results than i have had

Which service center? “It’s not something that needs to be serviced for it to work” is nonsense; it could easily be a bad camera, etc.

As for hands free, try moving your steering wheel lower. But that would require Drive Assist working in the first place.

sorry for the late reply! I didn't get the notification for the message and I don't go online as much on weekends

the steering wheel is too low as it is...i had read about the line for the eye sight (and discussed this with the service centres) so i can see the infrared reader clearly, even if i find the steering wheel too low for me. I'd keep it there especially if it would actually worked

Both Montreal and Toronto service centres are of no value or help. The last reply I got was "it doesn't work on that highway"...when in the previous conversation, they told me it works on highlight/bolded roads (which this was)...AND it's literally the biggest/longest highway in Canada (trans Canada highway) AND it never worked since I got it, even in busier areas of Quebec when I drove it back down.

They want to compete with luxury brands but the luxury service is completely lacking. If it wasn't for the few glitches for the software, and lack of DD Pro ever working (with the corresponding lack of service), this would be a near perfect car. But these are insanely frustrating, especially when I specifically paid for the latter.

Did the ACU triple board replacement fix your issue? Three weeks ago my hand free stopped working all of a sudden with no error messages. Adaptive cruise control still works. It’s been with Lucid Service since last Thursday and they have been unable to identify the root cause. They recalibrated without any luck. They said it worked again briefly during one of several test drives but then stopped working again. In the 5 days it has been worked on, they have put over 82 miles on the vehicle. They said yesterday they are awaiting next steps from a Lucid Engineer.

I’ve been told they resolved the issue. Reportedly was a “TCU issue” and the LTE and GPS coordinates were not reporting correctly. A reset of the TCU unit has fixed the issue. Haven't picked up the vehicle yet so will have to wait and see if the issue is fixed permanently.

This is exactly what happened to me last December. The only reason that adaptive cruise and drive assist didn't work was because the navigation system thought the car was parked in the garage, no matter where I was. Once the TCU was reset, and the nav knew when the car was on the road, it performed as expected.

Update: I have not gotten the car yet... It's on a trailer on way for delivery

Reportedly the ACU replacement fixed the issue. Couple of people at the service center took it for test drive. Service advisor confirmed that it works now

Hopefully that is true. Will report back after I drive it once I get my hands on it..
