I’m not 100% sure if the cameras were changed or not since early deliveries. There were 2 newer Gravity’s at the recent San Diego owners event and the cameras seemed much more clearer. Could’ve been perfect light conditions outside, time of day etc. but I added it to the list for the Service Center to look at. The cameras on my previous Air were much clearer so it’s strange that they’re worse on a newer model.

If it was anyone other than a software engineer who told you, there’s a large chance it was bunk. Just telling you what you want to hear. Not knocking SAs, mine was awesome and many are great, they simply don’t have the information and have said all sorts of random stuff.

They’re definitely dim when backing up, but at least on my GGT, there is a pretty noticeable glare with headlights when changing lanes.

Yeah, that's very likely the case unfortunately...
 
The DDPro errors the morning occur when my windshield is fogged. Once the fog clears past the sensor suite behind the rear view mirror the error goes away.

Agree that this seems compression related… My theory is that the phone audio quality problems may be related to that also… My wife says sometimes it sounds like I’m underwater. Possibly a microphone that is not isolated from body vibrations and such. They QNX are trying to manage all audio and really finesse the regions of the interior… might be too many fancy features before adequate function. Hopefully just adjustments, my service center is too far away to need component swaps etc.

Still feels compression related…. IMO

The exception is owners' practices such as use of a Faraday bag, which I use. However, there are probably owners who don't and also have minimal to no issues. I don't have the tech package upgrade either, but some who do may also have minimal issues.

what is the impact of faraday bags? I missed that exchange. We use one too.

It's kinda hard to really say for certain that faraday bags have an impact on the various bugs/issues.
Knowing the various benefits of the bags as it relates to the fob signal being picked up by the car, it's possible to speculate that there is some correlation between bag usage and bugs/issues.

The known benefits of the bag make it a more practical and potentiasl solution to bugs/issues than the hypothetical solutions like hopping on one foot while holding your nose and other legendary video game-like solutions.

I hope it is because the early cameras on the Air did the same thing and were fixed with OTA updates.
 
Latest update on 3.3.9 effectiveness:

Updated on Tuesday; all good except for the fob detection message.

Wednesday: Got the detection message again along with low battery warning that I had seen a few days earlier and ignored. Changed battery. Screens worked but came up slower especially after a 5 minute nap. Fine after longer (10+ minutes) nap.

Since new battery, no detection messages. Screens loading faster even after a 5 minute nap. Took an extra day, but 3.3.9 now seems better than 3.3.5.

or perhaps it's 1/12 of a year? except if you count the days, it's almost certainly not precisely 365/12? or perhaps you mean 365.25 (roughly)?

do you know how old your demo models of your test drives were? I was told that the ones I've driven (twice now, 6 months apart) were 2025's and that the 2026 models had newer hardware... but who knows. the quality on a bright day of those side cameras in what I drove was not great.

I'd guess the salesperson told you that and I very, very highly doubt it's true there's new hardware. SAs have a horrible habit of overstating things or just outright lying so I'd take anything they say with a grain of salt.

Agree. It seems extremely unlikely they’re driving 2025 production cars around. If you want folks to be impressed with their demo drive, it would follow you’d put the newer ones out there.

SAS would definitely try to chalk any issue up to “pre production”…much better than “oh yeah, that doesn’t work”.
 
I test drove a GGT today with 20/21 wheels and fully loaded minus the HUD. Did not drive well. Very bumpy vs. my last/first test drive. It was bizarre.
 
Should note, it was on Smooth. To make this post relevant to this section, it was running on 3.3.9. Did my best to create a glitch but nothing. Went through every setting. Entered and exited the vehicle multiple times. No hiccups whatsoever.
 
I recently noticed that when I open the car with the app it loads the guest profile instead of my profile. It used to load my profile before.
I'm not sure what broke that for me - whether it was a phone (android) app or 3.3.9. My car was in service for 3 weeks and I got it back with 3.3.9 and after app update that added key fob updates to the app.
