Steering wheel reboots have not been as effective for me as letting the car get a good night’s sleep. The latter has taken care of many an issue over the past several months.

The instrument cluster piece is powered by QNX, the infotainment is Android Automotive

Mine is a crapshoot.

Sometimes the record button is available on the main screen, and other times it's not. Greyed out.

Broski said it happens when the USB drive doesn't mount during boot up.

Weird software things aside, I will say sometimes I just love sitting inside the Gravity. I drove it up into the mountains this week because it was raining in so cal. I sat there with my morning coffee, listening to the rain, watching all the clouds roll through the trees. It was serene and I was so comfortable.

Otherwise, until I type this, everything has been stable. Haven’t had black screens in a very long time. But my imagination of Ron Burgundy sitting in a car by himself shaking the fob vigorously is 😂

My USB mounts 95% of the time but hitting record you just get a spinning circle and if you press the horn etc. it won’t trigger a recording. In the 3.3.5 days it was probably “works 90% of the time and fails 10%” now it’s “fails 90% of the time and works 10%”

I reported it to Lucid so will wait and see I guess. Good luck to them making this a paid subscription in future if updates are going to break it.

that this will be a paid feature at some point makes me hopeful that they actually will make this work properly lol


am I still the only one not getting 3.3.9 offered to update? :(

I did actually have black screens last night for first time since update. My side mirror cameras were also delayed by 1 second when flipping on turn signal. Fixed via reboot, but that's something I did notice. Am not thrilled about the video quality on those cameras, especially at night btw...
 
Think the consensus is that 3.3.5 was better. Maybe that's why all recent deliveries posted have 3.3.5.

I'm interested in trying to find out if the camera quality is a hardware issue, or if it's just that the software is overly compressing the video feed, and future software updates might improve it. Has anyone already looked into that? If not, I may start reaching out to people on the engineering side of Lucid and seeing what they say. I've found that some of them have been very responsive when I've sent a question to them in the past.

Making this a paid subscription is asking for trouble. This is a "safety" feature and and having it disabled just to make money does not instill confidence in the company.

They’re pretty bad at night unless there’s nearby light. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I do wonder if that’s because they’re not being used for ADAS, so Lucid doesn’t need high quality cameras. Don’t know.
 
After updating to 3.3.9 yesterday and seeing one "Key Fob Not Detected" message for the day, this morning I saw the message again.
However, the message was immediately followed by the "Fob Battery Low. Please Change".
The battery message today reminded me that I had seen that same message a few days earlier, so I'm not convinced the fob detection message yesterday after the update was related to updating versus the battery level.

New battery installed, so we'll see what happens with detection messages in the coming days.

One change I notice with the update is that if I exit and lock the car, then return within a few minutes, the screens stay black for about 10 seconds and then come on.
Wasn't happening with 3.3.5.
Seat and steering wheel adjust, but screens take longer to come on.

However, if the car is locked for just over 5 minutes, less than 10, the screens are fine.
I recall someone posting about the sleep phases of the car.
It's as if the car is starting to go into a deeper sleep, but if that is interrupted, it takes awhile to wake back up versus waking up from a deeper sleep.

Deep sleep and memory leaks.
The Gravity is a newborn that needs long naps and frequent diaper changes.
First gen aka a baby!

I asked during my 2 test drives and in both occasions I was told it was software related and it was going to be updated soon. But who knows if they really knew or they were trying to ease my concern
