Agree. Not sure how many of those were on 3.3.5 or later. I realize some have but I have not had a single key fob, unlock, drive issue. Auto unlock and lock, door handle presentation on approach just work for me. Maybe 10-20% of the time the screens take 5-10 seconds to fully boot up before I can drive. They've never been black. I've done zero soft or hard resets since ownership.

I'm just suggesting this place may not be representative of the average experience. There does seem to be variability in different cars issues. Perhaps I'm lucky or more forgiving of an intermittent 5-10 second delay and not screaming that the software sucks. Maybe both.

I had all the same concerns and anxiety a month ago when I was taking delivery as you're going through now.

Anyways, with my experience I would highly recommend the car to anyone. It will only get better.

This mirrors my experience with my GGT after 1,400 miles, now on 3.3.9. Only minor, occasional software hiccups that have been fixed by an occasional soft reboot. I also love the car and would 100% buy it again.

Agreed. No way to quantify this (but I am sure Lucid can) but I would hypothesize that 80-90% of owners are in your status. I just hope that I do not end up in the 10-20% group with numerous glitches.

Yeah, those Homelink buttons are temperamental. I wish they are down on the pilot screen, where they’d be easier to reach and press efffectively.
 
I’ll preface this by saying that I have no experience developing or testing software, but I’m surprised (and somewhat unnerved) that it took 2 full weeks from when 3.3.8 was pulled to get 3.3.9, with no additional fixes or features. Lucid deserves credit for (mostly) fixing the key issues. But also, there are a bunch of things that need immediate attention, e.g. the climate arctic blast, sensors blocked warnings, rear steering errors, headlight errors, increasing the sensitivity of auto wipers, etc. This makes me worried about the timing of major QOL updates like CarPlay, phone as key, Camp Mode, etc.

I bounce back and forth between a shameful sense of entitlement and reminding myself that Lucid previewed and advertised all these things prior to launch. I bet a lot of us would feel better with more communication and a roadmap of fixes/updates. There doesn’t have to be a timetable attached; just a “here’s what we’re tackling next” list would be confidence-boosting.

Ok, so I now have over 7200 miles and 3+ months of ownership. I had one of the early major issues of lockout within the first week, but since that day, it has not failed me to not be able to unlock and start the car with the fob. It depends on failure definition too as before 3.3.5 I had to use the battery removal method for my fob once or twice (my key cards have worked 100% of the time since the original lockout) but I was still able to get going pretty quickly those couple of times. But since the 3.3.5, I've had no issues with key not detected or starting the car. Other software glitches, sure, but they have made steady progress in getting better. I just got back from a 100 mile trip to Nashville a little while ago and I'm on the 3.3.9. So far, so good. Nothing good or bad to report that's any worse or better. I didn't have the 80 Amp issue. Black screen hasn't happened yet, but I expect it likely will, but since they addressed it not taking 1-5 mins, on the few occasions it does happens, it comes back on within 10 -15 seconds. I'm sure for some that's not acceptable, but for now I can deal with a few seconds delay on occasion. I understood what I got myself into being an early adopter. Ultimately you will have to make a choice to get it or not. If you do, you are prepared for what most of the bugs may be at this point and how to deal or have patience for them to resolve. Lucid is going to keep working this till it's resolved, I have no doubt at this point. It's clear they have deep work to do and are doing their best. We know they are watching the forums, so we will keep reporting the bugs big and small, so they can keep working to fix them all.
 
I have yet to receive 3.9, but am not concerned. Very few, if any, of Lucid's software updates have negatively affected performance or my interaction with my 2023 Air Touring. I'm always surprised how many Lucid owners experience difficulties after updates. I think the hundreds (or thousands) without problems don't post on this forum. Don't get me wrong, this forum is a terrific place to gain information, ask for help and share woes. It's just that it often provides a distorted view of problems.
 
I installed 3.3.9 yesterday, screen wakeup has definitely improved especially after short stops when running errands. My vehicle had not experienced many different error messages and those that I did were usually minor and resolved without the need for a reboot. I continue to be grateful to Lucid for creating such and awesome vehicle. Living in SO Cal, I got to drive it in the rain for the past two days, very sure footed!
 
Looks like software complaints are at least limited to few owners and Lucid is making great progress fixing issues. Maybe it’s time to put in our order for a Gravity. Perhaps will wait to see what the Touring configuration looks like. My wife wouldn’t need all that power.

Still don’t get 3.3.9 offered to update ….

3.3.8 > 3.3.9

Never had issues with these many blackouts and screens not refreshing when I was on 3.3.8. Found a workaround where the trunk icon wouldn’t display. I switch to swift mode and it shows up!!
I’m still on guest profile and that seems to be the least glitchy with key fob hiccups.

Same here with GDE, 0 issues and 0 regrets on going with the gravity. Absolute happy with the car and can only recommend.

Thing only will get better, hopefully 😂

At the rate the fob munches on the battery, 3.072V won't last you long. I use Panasonic batteries I got from Amazon years ago, and they're at 3.3+V.

If 2.9V is indeed confirmed low by the new update (and I believe it, since 2.9V is what I had when my fob decided to die and stop working one day recently), then we will be replacing fob batteries every few weeks until phone as key is live.

Saw my first “key fob battery low” warnings today, which was not all that surprising because I had felt like the fob has been less responsive lately. Key card has been working fine as a backup today and new batteries come tomorrow.

Checked out a batch of more of these batteries and they read anywhere from 3.2V to 3.3V. I rechecked the 3.072V battery and it still read the same. So I replaced the fob battery with a 3.3V and trashed the low. voltage one. Here is a link to the batteries from Amazon.
