After updating to 3.3.9 last night, few things that were working before have started acting up.

These controls were previously disabled while driving, but now they appear to be enabled. I tried opening the trunk while driving at low speeds—thankfully it didn’t open—but it also doesn’t open when the vehicle is stopped. At the moment, the only way I’m able to open the frunk and trunk is with the key fob.

The display shows that I’m on an active call even though I’m not. When I check the phone tab, it shows no active call.

A hard reset fixed these for now.
 
whats with the buttons to the left for the frunk/trunk?

What about the buttons on the dash to the left?
 
I did this software update today. No noticeable improvement in lagging/blank screen at startup that I can see. Seems the same or worse. i don’t understand why it takes this car so long to wake up. Isn’t this UI supposed to be the next generation? Also, my keyboard in the navigation menu is still in Spanish when I search for an address. I guess we’re officially bilingual now.

Power down state and waking up are some really hard things to do right if you care at all about efficiency. The so-call Vampire Drain is real and people complain when the car is in standby when parked, say, at an airport for a week and then doesn't have much charge left.

It seems like there should be a sleep for everyday use and a deep sleep for extended periods.
 
After the 3.3.9 update, the most notable things were:
  1. Key Fob not detected has now turned into Key Fob Battery Low. I replaced the battery and Low Battery alert went away. Old battery Voltage: 2.942V; New battery voltage: 3.072V.
  2. Halo Secure didn't detect USB drive. Unplugged and plugged back in with no change. After long reboot, it was detected.
  3. Touch buttons still need serval presses to respond.

Many cars do a temporary hibernate for some time (90seconds to 5 minutes), and then go into deeper sleep.

It used to be that they used clues for waking up, too. So, if you unlock the car, it starts to wake up. If the car is unlocked, but you open a door, it starts to wake up. Today, it's a bit more complicated due to Bluetooth LE wake-ups just from fob/phone being nearby, also from waking up to charge, and also from charging for long periods of time.

FMVSS 111 essentially requires the rear camera be displayed within 2.0 seconds of the car being on and in reverse. A version of the car previously designed at an OEM relied on the car being unlocked first, then door opened, then car started with the pushbutton, then shifted into reverse. For our car, we decided that the we had to make the 2.0 second display if the car had been shutdown and left unlocked with the driver's door open for a while (deeper sleep). Then sit in the car, close the door, start and reverse. We were able to do it, but not with the tire path overlays displayed. I've seen many other cars since where if you rush to get into reverse the display will happen, but without the overlays. Later in the drive you'll get the overlays (like when you arrive and go to parallel park). Not ideal, but you do what you can.

Updated last night, everything seemed good after update, but didn't need to drive it.
Car slept overnight, in the morning I get in for a drive, get bunch of random faults and no music.
It's a new one too, music app works, but no sound is playing, even though it responds to play/stop commands and song time counter changes, but no sound regardless of volume control. The car is totally mute. Tried switching between Bluetooth and Tidal, no dice.
Did a hard reboot and everything back to normal, no faults and music works, drives fine too.
During the drive I noted how sluggish all screen changes are, takes 1-5 seconds for screens to change and update, feels like a background process is dragging down the OS response, then eventually it clears up and works normally.
I'm grateful for frequent updates, but it's not a "meaningful update" as Lucid states in the release notes, at least not for my car.
 
As shared yesterday, my Lucid Gravity was updated to OS 3.3.9, and after some additional time with it, a few new observations have surfaced:
  1. The hurricane force winds are still going strong.
    Opening the door continues to trigger a cabin fan blast powerful enough to qualify as its own renewable energy source.
    Manual calming of the blower remains part of the entry routine.
  2. The driver seat continues to show a mind of its own.
    Once again, the seat was found fully reclined as if preparing for meditation, a power nap, or a day at the spa.
    No presets were changed and no adjustments were made. The Gravity simply opted for maximum relaxation.
The official release notes for 3.3.9 mention two items:

• “An enhancement resolves an error message that could appear when using an 80-amp AC charger.”
• “Display reliability has been improved.”

It is not yet clear what these improvements translate to in everyday use, but more time with the update may reveal additional behavior.

I will share anything screenshot-worthy that shows up. 😄🚗⚡

Wonder how Tesla solved this, it works perfectly......
 
We downloaded 3.3.9 to both our Gravities this afternoon but have only driven one since. When we drove it to dinner everything seemed all right. We were streaming from Spotify the whole trip. When we got back in the car to drive home we got a message saying "network connection unavailable", and none of our streaming music sources were available. We also got a "key fob not detected" alert, even though the fob had opened the car and powered it up. And we also got a message saying "no device connected" although our cell phones were indicating a connection. After a short distance we pulled into a parking lot to do the X/mic/brake reboot. It did not resolve anything.

We drove several more miles along the same route on which we had had uninterrupted streaming on the way to dinner. Meanwhile I was pressing different buttons on the music menus. Several times I was able to get the "network connection unavailable" message to disappear and the music library images to come up both on Spotify and Tidal. But the music wouldn't start and the play/pause button would not display. After a few more miles, the music suddenly started playing.

I am not impressed with 3.3.9 and its claimed "small but meaningful software update". Small, maybe. Meaningful? Not so much. Getting into the car is still a pure crap shoot in terms of what will be working and what will be malfunctioning this time.
 
I’m in the camp of it fixed some things and broke others. Hard reset sometimes doesn’t work. Seems like they put a watch dog timer in the software. After 5 minutes becomes partially responsive, then I can do a reset. Tonight I got in. Only the display directly in front of me and to my left powered on. I could still drive. After 7 minutes the displays powered up, but were missing information. Buttons to open trunk, frunk, glove box were missing. Homelink didn’t work. Got home, took several tries to get the hard reset to work. Issues then cleared. New software might have cleared a charging issue at 80A with Lucid home charger. Still too early to tell. A little disappointed. Heading to Africa until the new year, hopefully by the time I get back things will improve.

Halo Secure is effectively dead for me and has been since 3.3.8
Still can't send addresses from phone
Black Screens still exist albeit maybe not as much
Still need to tap/press buttons multiple times to register
 
Wonder if we should have some sort of a poll here? We obviously hear about issues - though many probably don't post and either have issues or don't. Our Gravity has some issues, and I would say they're crapshoot-ish but not horrible. Maybe there could be "no issues / relatively few issues / some issues, but they're not material / some issues, and they're material" as choices. We would be in the third camp.

I honestly don't recall reading this many posts about issues when I joined the forum 3 years ago, prior to getting my Air.
I'm a bit concerned since this will be my wife's daily car.
Maybe I should drive it for a while until things stabilize, but that'd take away from her the fun of having a new car.

Four years ago would have read a little differently. The first year of Air software was an absolute nightmare (until October 2022 when UX 2.0 finally came along and things began to clean up one OTA at a time).

Maybe the Gravity will follow the same trajectory. But, unlike with the Air, the Gravity is not Lucid's first rodeo with UI software, and they did a lot of hyping about how advanced UX 3.0 in the Gravity was going to be.

If such a poll is created, I suggest the choices of "delaying installation of update" and "update not available" be added. I'm in the delaying ( AKA if it ain't broke) camp.
