Sorry….remind me whether some recent model years already this, or not. I recall some kind of computer upgrade in the 2024 or 2025’s….but this may be different?

The new chip started with the 2024 Sapphire and general roll out started with the 2025 MY Air "refresh" if memory serves me. I'm certain there's a thread or two here discussing the updates the 2025 Airs received.
 
This thread title is a big giant jebait of disappointment.

I believe it was in Jason’s video that Airs from April 2024 onward have the new chip.

It'll eliminate the front and rear camera blind spots at the front and back of the car, including the large blind spots in the car's corners which currently appear as a benign gray in the overhead view. I think it would be very helpful in negotiating tight parking lots.

While your Touring may not be the exact same car (from a drivetrain and battery perspective) as the Grand Touring, I think there are still similar software tweaks that could boost performance at least somewhat. Maybe all the way to the Grand Touring's, but I never researched that.

My guess is that the Sapphire is the only vehicle where they have left no stone unturned.

Today? No.

In the future? Probably additional features.
 
just to be 100% clear, no one can pay with their points to upgrade another user's Air right? or spend any points on someone else's Air?

That would be interesting as some people may want to "Sell" their points at a discount if they have excess.

It says in the Terms & Conditions: “Points are non-transferrable, non-assignable, and cannot be bequeathed to anyone else”
