I just spotted that the mobile app on Android is 27GB. Seems awfully big for what it does. Can anyone else confirm the size on their phone?

That's pretty outrageous. I'm at 3GB and I think that's outrageous. What the heck are they storing?

I don't have the app yet since I'm still VIN-less, but if the app has video tutorials, that could just be downloaded videos.

The bear is hibernating in there. Could it be related to the current bug that's causing the car to stay awake?

Mine is at 2.29GB Total. Can you check the App Size versus User Data Versus Cache?

Mine is 255MB App, 1.60GB User, 438MB Cache.

It might be worthwhile to clear storage which will trigger the user data to wipe. Then you can log back in and it'll clean itself up.

Also holy crap. Your app used 1.72GB of data since May 1? What in the world?!?!

Wow. Mine is at 604mb but I just installed yesterday after downgrading to may 1st 2.4.0 APK in order to deal with the battery leak.

And if anyone is interested in downgrading given this version seems to have serious issues (battery drain, and now add storage bloat and data utilization)

I uninstalled the phone app for the time being.

Hi Pyle112,
Would I have to repair the phone to the car after the downgrade? I'm assuming I have to uninstall the current before installing the older one correct?
Thanks

Uninstall the app. Install the downgrade. Re-pair mobile key (should recognize the phone, no need to delete mobile key from car)

For perspective, on Apple App Store, it’s only 463.4MB. Over 1GB seems like a lot of storage use for a simple app. My guess is it’s counting Cellular Data use or all your apps in the phone in its size count.

App: 271 MB
Data: 26.85 GB (I'm assuming User & Data mean the same thing in this instance)
Cache: 2.51 MB
Total: 27.13 GB

Yes, this is because I had previously set the Lucid app to ONLY use data via mobile network. It used to be workaround for me to be able to wake up the car very fast at home versus when I'm on home network. I reverted it back to normal just recently.

When you say battery leak, are you referring to how the car is almost always awake? If so, I definitely have this problem. I'm going to try installing the version from 2 updates ago since it used to be very responsive at waking up the car.

Yes... Some Android users are experiencing this drain recently
Thread 'Car won't sleep - 1% Phantom drain per hr' https://lucidowners.com/threads/car-wont-sleep-1-phantom-drain-per-hr.12520/

I don't know if this is the only reason for drain, but recently the forum is full of individuals with the same drain issue and the Android app seemed to be the common thread. Still no word from lucid.

Has anyone kept 2 4.1 open, and verified that it's not keeping the car awake and draining the battery? I installed 2.4.1 but force stopped and closed the app.

So far so good. I'll report back tomorrow morning
