That's what I did last time hence why I said that I think the issue still exists. I'll do it one more time just in case.

The issue still exists, as reported here multiple others are experiencing it... no one should have to manually clear this data, nor should such uncontrolled growth exist, those are steps to just address symptoms, not a solution.

Mine seems to be holding steady at about 1GB of user data (pixel 9 pro xl).

Agreed. The only thing I can think of why I am not experiencing the issue is either my flavor of Android phone or because I initially downgraded my app (in that process I did clear my cache and storage)

I just spoke with Customer Care, software development is:
- aware of the problem;
- expects a fix in the next few days;
- does not yet know which phones have/don't have the issue.

In my own case, I have the issue on a Samsung S22+ with Android 15/UI7 (nearing 21GB). My spouse has an S22 on 14/UI6 and does not have the problem (1.5GB of data & stable). I suspect (SWAG) that this may be an Android 15 &/or UI7 issue...
