2027 Air?

Or, UX 3.0/4.0 as standard. Can't imagine they will mess with hardware. IMHO, they shouldn't - great looking car right now!

What I WOULD like them to change is access control. I won't go into details here because there's already threads discussing it but I think they need to fall back to an old-school, utterly reliable key fob solution, plus remove the need for the handles to electronically present themselves.

New TCU hehehehehehe!
There is a new TCU, already, and has been for a while, fyi. They replace them under warranty if they fail (for example, if they continuously fall offline, which the v1 TCUs were prone to doing).

I have v2 and my car keeps going offline 🤷

Hear, Hear!

The focus is on midsize right now.
this makes the most sense- not just in the "can't focus on two things at once" sense, but also in that why would they work on upgrading the Air to DD2 and UX 3.0 when they're about to release DD3 and UX 4.0 in the midsize? makes me wonder if they'll wait to meaningfully refresh the Air until it can be fitted with DD3/UX4, which may be MY'28 or '29 (along with the Gravity, presumably)

I was hoping for a more significant update for 2027, but at this point I highly doubt it. Way too much on their plate with Cosmos, Gravity issues (which have proven way harder than expected), and the pending release of Air 3.0.

It would be nice if they at least offered a new color? I bet Aurora Green would look nice on Air.

I have no idea how to build or engineer a car or anything for that matter (well, except teeth). I know that everything is much more complicated than it seems from the outside. That said, if they ONLY replaced the locking/unlocking system and went to NACS with fast charging at Superchargers, I'd be thrilled!

Is connectivity off inside the vehicle? If so, then reset your TCU and get your TCU replaced. If not, this is a different issue.

dont know, I can't get into it during those times. But when in the car, connectivity is usually ok. It's back at Rocklin now they'll sort it.

If connectivity works in the car, it’s not your TCU.

I was hopeful for some updates on 2027 Air, but agree with what others have said here.. Lucid is doing what they can to get to higher efficiency, while working on multiple new products... I don't think they will do much with the Air, but it would be relatively easy to offer some new color choices or interior trim options..

My guess is it will be launched with 3.0

Maybe a new color
Hopefully a few fun tweaks.

NACS??? It needs that
