Does anyone have an idea what's expected for 2026 Air? Wondering if they would bring the Gravity's UI, screen and NACS charging to the Air. Thoughts anyone?

I would expect '26 Air to introduce NACS native charging, but, when I posted this opinion on Lucid sub Reddit a few weeks ago, I was downvoted very heavily. Go figure. I thought it was a very reasonable expectation. They basically questioned what I was smoking... :)

Screen won't change. Elements of the UI are expected but who knows if thats a 26 event or later. I wouldn't expect much differences from prior models and any UI changes will likely be implemented in earlier models as well.

NACS would take a pretty significant redesign, more to move the charge port and wiring to the back than anything else. I wouldn't be shocked if that happens this year, but given the amount of attention on Gravity and work no doubt ramping up on Midsize I also wouldn't be surprised if the '26 Air is a fairly small update. My guess would be NACS, motor improvements, sound isolation and audio system improvements in the '27 model.

That is funny - I posted the same thing on Reddit and got the same type of response. I thought that was a reasonable expectation too. 🙂

And a transition to Gravity's new rear motor/controller assembly to perform the HV boost. It's notably bigger than the Air's motor/controller assembly. Many things would have to change, a substantial effort by many people who should be working on the midsize models. More time-consuming than swapping in a new keyfob and matching radios, just for purposes of comparison ;).

I think they will let the Air just stay pretty darn close to “as is” for years. Similar to what Tesla did with the S. Minor Air improvements, but that’s not where their big ROI is anymore.

All the new Tesla SCs have a longer cable and are centered in the parking spot - so NACS doesn’t have to be at rear left, etc. I charged my R1S at a new SC today and it was much easier than older ones. And easy with the adapter provided by Rivian.

That said, the electric pieces and motor will need to change and I don’t know if that makes sense for Lucid to invest in - they can just provide adapters.

OK, if we're just guessing, I'll say that it willl be 2027 before we see the Air get NACS and the new cockpit electronics.

So what could be an easy little refresh for 2026 to maintain interest and address existing complaints from Air owners, with little impact on production line and engineering resources?

- the new keyfob from the Gravity, addressing one of the largest complaint areas of Air owners with engineering already completed for the Gravity.
- and how about one new paint color (Aurora Green?) They already sourced it, probably not too hard to offer it on the Air.
- maybe adding one more interior color that can have the massaging seats. Not an entirely new leather color, just an existing color that can get the 20-way seat option.

I think the focus will shift to the Gravity. This is where the money will pour in from.

this looks different ?? I like the re-designed rear... it has dual exhaust !

do not like the new sets of laptops sitting on the dash... get rid of laptops in cars please!

here's another ... this one with a Tesla logo.

I don’t understand the videos @Cosmo Cruz. The 2026 Air is already announced and shipping and has minimal changes. Is this just for concepts?

This is why I posted the videos. (note: this is a Dream Edition Air, not the common- folk version).

There is nothing on the Lucid website about re-visiting the Dream Edition Air.
Am I missing something? Anyone heard about a refreshed Dream Edition Air ? Performance specs are the same, interior is worse (bigger laptops on dash), rear is better (looks less like a Taurus).

But I'm really interested in a convertible, like this Lucid-powered Genesis:

You’re not missing anything. AI has been used to fill the Internet with lies.

There are content farms of people whose job is to create fake videos using AI. People watch the videos, on Youtube or Tiktok for example, and the money generated by that flows back to the owner of the farm.
