Can we turn deactivate this?

So my wife and I have experienced this about a half a dozen times. We will be having a conversation and all of a sudden the car starts talking about something on the web and invoking an opinion on the topic we are discussing. We are not invoking by saying “Hey Lucid” or pushing the speak button. Has anyone else experienced this?. It is quite spooky when it happens.

Thread 'Bizarre Hey Lucid Interaction'

My wife and her friend were discussing her friend's divorce in the car when Hey Lucid came on out of nowhere and asked them if they would like relationship advice and help dealing with divorce issues.

She was so shocked that she called me immediately. They tried to get HL to reproduce it so they could record it, but they weren't successful. It was a bizarre interaction.

You can try disabling the hands free option of voice assistant so that it will only activate if you press the mic button. I do this only because I don't like the idea of having something in the backround always listening for the wake up command.

Seems its wake word is extremely sensitive as I've had similar experiences. Only thing to do at the moment if it's annoying you is turn of the voice activation piece and just allow it to activate only when you press the steering wheel button.

I have one major complaint about "Hey Lucid" responses.
Every single time I ask her about future winning lotto numbers, her answer is "ask me tomorrow".

We are working to adjust the threshold for activating Lucid Assistant by voice. In the interim, you can toggle off the hands-free option under Applications > Lucid Assistant. Once this toggle is set to OFF, you can trigger Lucid Assistant by pushing the microphone button on the steering wheel.

Don’t listen to the haters; some of us get lonely and find the occasional interruptions a nice reminder that we’re not alone in this world
