I don’t think anyone will do this to a Lucid. Anyway, grass is not greener at Rivian.
Every car manufacturer has some number of lemon-law cases against them. Vehicles are hard to manufacture at scale and get right every time. Being a start-up automaker and still going through the quality learning curve makes the problem worse. So it's less a question of whether a manufacturer is producing some bad cars, and more a question of what fraction are trouble prone. Unfortunately getting data on that is quite hard. For all their problems, Consumer Reports is still probably the best source of overall vehicle quality data. Rivian is a story of contrasts, in that they top the CR owner satisfaction survey, while being bottom of the CR's predicted reliability ranking. Lucid doesn't have a big enough representation in CR's sample to get rated on either scale. One interesting lesson from CR's reliability survey: hybrids don't do well. Engineers won't be surprised, because they know that more complexity almost always means more problems.

He says he filed a Lemon Law claim, and has been paying legal fees. He also says "It has been to Rivian service more than eight times and experienced dozens of issues beyond those documented in the videos below. It now has an unresolved steering defect that makes it unsafe to drive."This guy is just disappointed, it hasn’t even been in their shop 30 days. He’s mad about the battery and whatever, but unless it’s been in service for the minimum period, it’s not a lemon.
