    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Modern embedded systems with large quantities of software would typically use memory that has error correcting codes. Hopefully any automotive design would include that. It doesn't eliminate the possibility of undetected firmware corruption, but it goes a long way towards doing so. In my...

Car and Driver Comparison Gravity vs Escalade IQ

I have to wonder who is in the market for the Escalade, aside from car services or celebrities with a chauffeur.

    Gravity 75 mph Range

At 2.76 miles/kWh, that's 340 miles for the 123 kWh battery. Not too bad for a heavy foot and and a climb with a lot of up and down elevation. Your profile doesn't say, was that a GT or a Dream?

    Flattering review

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I love assembly, and have done it professionally even in recent years. If you get creative, you can make a modern CPU chip do things the micro-architecture designer never thought of.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

A pin is a very good idea. If someone borrows my car, I'm likely to give them the fob, and not a card. If they call me up because the fob won't work, I'd like to be able to give them a pin to get them going.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I feel like your tales of Lucid ignoring you are beyond what you should tolerate. I'd probably try calling them one last time, early during business hours, and explain that you won't accept a callback (and why), and that you either want an escalation right now, or the name and direct number of...

    What would you change?

Weeks ago you corrected me and said that the Lucid paint shop can easily change to a new color for each vehicle that comes through. While I realize that there's probably a challenge matching various trim pieces to the paint, that does make me think that more paint colors should be something...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

It's been interesting reading the recent service reports where physical pieces of the car have been redesigned. I think we've now heard about both the front Lucid light strip and the center console, and maybe one other part? It sounds to me like Lucid is taking fixes seriously, but is...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

It's a good workaround, but would also frustrate me. I don't normally wear earpods, and don't answer a lot of calls when driving. But on the occasion I do answer, I wouldn't want to find and insert earpods, all while also trying to drive the car.

Lucid Offers $7,500 Incentive on Gravity SUV as U.S. Federal EV Credit Ends

I'm surprised they're doing this. I was one of the people who predicted they wouldn't offer much in the way of incentives until they're producing more vehicles than there's demand for. I think it's a great move to ensure customer satisfaction, and avoid early order holders feel like they're...

One issue bugging me before I "click buy"

I believe Lucid thinks that version 3.2.2 partially address the critical issues you're worried about, but they have said that there is another software release coming in early September to wrap up the problems. It's safe to say that on the current software, some people are still having hiccups...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

I wonder what happens if you set metric as your preferred units. Is it consistent then, or does it occasionally want to use imperial anyway?

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

If it was just me, I'd probably be trying to get a Gravity in my driveway ASAP. I'm an engineer, work in the tech industry, and feel like I can cope with the teething problems of the software. And I like to drive, and the driving experience would likely make it all feel worthwhile to me. But...

    Hit 397kw today!

I believe that Gravity uses new power electronics, and perhaps also not the same battery cells (not sure about this one). I'd assume that Lucid tries to simplify their parts inventory, so maybe new (2026 model year?) Airs will converge.

    LUCID Gravity Lease vs Finance

That's not the worst case: "within the first eighteen (18) months or any other period designated by the Internal Revenue Service". The IRS could decide that it's for the first three years.

Another Reminder of How Good Lucid Engineering Is

My interpretation of their review: Great for being chauffeured around town, but terrible to drive yourself.

    Lane departure vibration sounds terrible

It could be that the noise and vibration is primarily targeted at waking someone who's going out of the lane because they've fallen asleep. It might need to be obnoxious to achieve that? Haven't heard/felt it myself, so just spitballing here. My Toyota has no vibration, but it does have a...

    Gravity software updates

Didn't @Nick.Twork post something on Twitter about the next release targeting software bugs coming in early September? I believe 3.2.2 came out in late July. Not yet enough datapoints to really make a pattern, but if the next patch comes in early September, that would be a cadence of Lucid...

Lucid Revealing a New Gravity Variant at Monterey Car Week

Portals? What does that mean in the context of a car?
