High Voltage Coolant Heater recall OTA update, estimated 1% of 2000 vehicles affected

My first call 2 days ago implied that the software would fix it, but after reading about the recall, it's clear that all it does is warn you if the problem is detected. Trust me, if you need heat and it's not there, you'll know. Service isn't open today, so I guess I'll hear from them tomorrow.

High Voltage Coolant Heater recall OTA update, estimated 1% of 2000 vehicles affected

I can safely say that I have the problem and it makes the car unusable in subzero temperatures. Other than the heated seats and the steering wheel, no other heat exists. The window will eventually fog and if you turn on defrost it will blow very cold air at the window (which will eventually...

    Permanent button for Homelink

I, too, wish I had that glitch. My complaint is one I haven't found others complaining about which is that even when I hit the homelink button for my particular door (I have two doors set up), the button will highlight, but the "radio" icon won't fire and the door won't open. This can...

FIrst Drive On Icy and Snowy Roads

First reaction to driving in snow this morning: noticeably better than Model S ('12) or Model 3 ('18). I did not drive fast, but never felt like the car had lost control. Traction control engaged on uphill and during stopping very nicely.

    No Neutral

I got really frustrated by this UX and even tried reading the manual (which is useless on the subject). I believe the following, from Park (P): - pulldown/release for drive (D) - pushup/release for reverse (R) - pull down and hold until indicator shows neutral (N) and then release

    2.0.24 Software Update

If you're tall, this is uncomfortable and inconvenient.

    2.0.24 Software Update

Wow, this is a long thread. I've had a Model S longer than (nearly?) anyone on this thread and my experience with the first MS software was equivalent to 1.x from Lucid. It was faster, but had a lot of bugs and much less functionality. They eventually fixed them, but I'd like to congratulate...

1.2.21 amazing four updates in three days

Maybe, but it also seems like Lucid gets lost at times. I had to call customer support and ask for a forced upgrade after reading here that I was behind by 3.

Powerup benchmark - not faster in 1.2.11, 23 seconds to in-gear and 50 seconds to garage close

Folks, I'm seeing some reports saying 1.2.11 is faster to boot, but I don't think we're measuring the same thing. My benchmark: - double-click car key - start timer - wait ~1-2 seconds for car door handles to open - enter car - hit brake pedal (again and again) - 18 seconds later, center dash...

    OTA 1.2.10

FYI, my car (1.2.76) received no notifications of updates, so I had to message customer service today and they got the OTA folks to force me through 1.2.9 and now 1.2.10. So far, it doesn't appear to fix any of my problems.

    Shock and Tilt False Alarms

I saw false alarm while standing 30' away from my car while it was in my garage being charged. It had recently been updated to 1.2.6.

Another bug list... are any of my one-offs being seen by others?

The relevance of that Silicon Valley clip is far more spot on than you can imagine.

Another bug list... are any of my one-offs being seen by others?

Which? The motion or default to off? Tesla has always had a nice lights/wipers completely automatic process that feels magical.

Another bug list... are any of my one-offs being seen by others?

I posted my Tesla Model S early-bug-list and I now have time to post this one for Lucid AGT. Several of the items below I haven't seen reported by others. I've retested many of these on 1.2.6 and not seen any fixes. Date SWvers Priority Type Problem description 4/21/22 1.2.1 1 bug Time...

    Lucid App

@hydbob You are benchmarking the wrong thing. I want to get in the car and get into reverse as quickly as possibly, so I'm benchmarking from when the door-handles present. That's the beginning of boot up. Unfortunately for me, my car doesn't open handles until I'm quite near it, so I'm...

    Lucid App

I think you're benchmarking the wrong thing. The delay counts from car bootup and the door-handle presentation is the beginning of that. I just stood outside my car for 16 seconds after door handles presented, opened door, sat down, and was able to put it in reverse immediately (which was 21...

For comparison, Tesla Model S 2012 software update 3 months after first car shipped

I had serial number 20-something of the 2012 Model S and lived through the teething pains of that software/car. The Lucid Air is a much nicer car, 10 years later. IMO, the Lucid software is unreasonably slow given how fast even cheap old processors are these days. I'm attaching the PDF of the...

    Lucid App

I have a different datapoint. After reading the long DE disappointment thread, I benchmarked by AGT and it was 21.5sec from handle-presentation until I was able to put the car in reverse. The backup camera immediately appeared, but the surround camera was > 45 seconds. More importantly, It...
