    Home Assistant Automations

I’m very dumb. But I was able to get this going and integrated into my dash board over the past week or so. I love it. Honestly I believe it has a better response time than the lucid app? Am I just hallucinating that the speedy response time?

    Uber owns 11.25% of Lucid

It definitely feels like Lucid has a new Daddy. And that’s a good thing. Pif is powerful but Uber gets things done and has software experience. And the worst case previously was PIF hit writes off Lucid. Is the new worst case that Lucid completely casts off the consumer model and becomes the...

New to EV market - looking at Lucid

I didn’t even consider personalizing it. But now I regret not adding something profane just to scandalize my wife.

New to EV market - looking at Lucid

https://leatherbrut.com/products/lucid-1-key-fob-cover This is the cover I got for my fob. I like it a lot. I do have an unusual tolerance for carrying stuff things in my pockets. I legit have a costanza wallet.

New to EV market - looking at Lucid

I still have moments when the car doesn’t open immediately by phone alone. So I carry the fob. Maybe I’ll do a week long trial of only using the phone, but the delay is pretty annoying and I really like how the fob is seamless.

New to EV market - looking at Lucid

The key works well. If you need a mobile key you are going to be frustrated as the Air doesn’t have a real phone-as-key solution because of a hardware limitation. But if you keep a fob in your pocket like I do it’s a nonissue. I even got a fancy leather case for the lucid from Leather Brut and...

    Reframing investing in Lucid Apr 26' - it's 0-0

The market for the Gravity is still pretty wide. My neighborhood is filled with minivans people bought to haul the kids around for $55k. Getting those people to upgrade to a $70k nicer car that’s electric is pretty doable. Mid size is a big market, but they don’t have the capacity to service a...

    3.0 on Air

Honestly, it’s generous to offer the ability to upgrade rather than only giving new cars this update. $945 is a lot less than a new Lucid.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

I just had to rewatch the interview to be certain: he’s wearing the exact same outfit as the host. This is the weirdest line of criticism from this entire thread. Is it that the Bloomberg guy has a spread collar and Silvio has a point collar? Critiquing the choice of a CEO from an unrelated...

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

I don’t that’s fair way to look at the recent quarters inventory numbers. When there is a recall you can’t just sell your inventory that’s affected. So that freezes your inventory number. And the “quality issue” with the supplier also means a number of cars were built up until the that affected...

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

It’s not like Lucid sits on a huge amount of inventory. They basically sell what they are able to make. Of course they need more sales but they need more inventory in order to sell more. And they need those sales not to come back for servicing 2 or 3 times. Operations and supply chain are the...

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

I own a small number of shares. I love this choice. Lucid has operational issues. They have supply chain issues. They need someone to come in and work on that side. They also need to build out more partnerships like Uber. And if it doesn’t work, they need someone who can get the company in...

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

Lucid’s opportunity is much bigger with sales to companies. An order for 35,000 vehicles to Uber dwarf’s last year’s total sales. If he can deepen that relationship and find other opportunities that will be a big deal to Lucid. I hope they can balance that with their consumer business.

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

Yes. And thankfully. Obviously the company needs more money for run way and to build out everything we all complain about. They need cash to build service centers and get better suppliers and hire software engineers. Any dilution concerns are outweighed by concerns of viability and execution...

    Lucid new CEO: Silvio Napoli

Does anyone have a good round up of the recapitalization news? Uber investment and purchase order, PIF buys convertibles, and a public sale of new shares? Are these separate cash raises or is there overlap?

    2027 Gravity available for order

What is your perspective on the "flood" of used Lucid Air Lease Returns affecting Lucid's Sales in the coming years?

It seems like Lucid’s plan is to deemphasize the Air and push towards the gravity. More people want that sized vehicle. So the used Airs probably only affect the very small Air market.
