New to Lucid used owner Maybe?

The challenge in your question is that it will depend entirely on who you ask. I've owned a used Air GT for about 9 months now. It has been problem free. I currently have a few squeaks and rattles that are being attended to by the service center. I've found my limited experiences with...

    Half-shaft bolt recall

Agreed. I've got my Air in service right now for a couple of minor squeaks and rattles. It took a month to get the appointment and a week after being dropped off they still haven't brought it in to work on. My best advice is to get your service appointments as soon as possible because you'll...

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

This video has undoubtedly garnered significant attention with leadership at Lucid from the CEO down. And I'm sure that when they discussed it the conclusion was not, "why didn't he deal with us directly offline?" I suspect the phrase most frequently uttered in their internal conversations is...

TCU not being covered under warranty

Read your warranty folks: What Can Cause The Warranty To Be Voided? At the exercise of Lucid’s sole and exclusive discretion, the Lucid New Vehicle Limited Warranty will be voided, and all warranty coverage hereunder will terminate in the event of: Failing to install required software updates...

Air Transition to UX3, to be or not to be!

Perfectly reasonable given the expectation that was created. I suspect we may be waiting a bit for clarity on a few things given the leadership transition and what the company is navigating through at the moment. That can be frustrating for owners but not entirely unexpected given what’s...

Air Transition to UX3, to be or not to be!

I suspect part of the reason has to do with the service backlog right now. Appointments are running 1-2 months out and that basically gets you a spot in the queue. Depending on the service you could be waiting another month before getting your car back. While offering the CCCv2 upgrade...

Air Transition to UX3, to be or not to be!

That is correct. Regardless of which chip you’re running on, you have 30 days to install any updates or your warranty may be voided at Lucid’s sole discretion. But there is no requirement to upgrade chips.

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

The Air routinely makes the list of best EV’s in major publications and review sites. It’s frequently cited as best in its class. And many owners, myself included, consider it among the best cars we’ve ever owned. But those are also just opinions. They can co-exist in a world where others...

Air Transition to UX3, to be or not to be!

Lucid cannot afford to release this software before it’s ready. They simply have too many issues that are overwhelming the engineering and service teams. The dilemma is balancing customers requests for improvements while ensuring they’re releasing trouble free software. You only get so many...

Air Transition to UX3, to be or not to be!

There are several articles and videos, including one by everyone’s favorite You Tuber, describing what UX 3.0 will offer and improve upon. Door behavior stands out as a notable improvement. I’d recommend seeking out that information to decide if the upgrade is important to you. How well will...

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

I have no problem whatsoever with his videos, opinions, and conclusions. I’m merely pointing out that he makes a living off of amplifying his experiences. It’s up to the viewer to decide how reflective that is of their individual ownership experience. At the end of the day it’s just a car...

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

I’m not saying that his issues aren’t real or unimportant. But he’s a content creator on You Tube. He makes money off of sharing his experiences through content that drives subscriptions and ad revenue. His livelihood depends on driving engagement through positive and negative experiences...

    19" vs 20" Wheels

The rated difference between the 19” and 20” is 47 miles per 100% charge. Real world could be slightly different but probably not materially. So based on your driving you could do the math to determine the break even point.

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

When it becomes more about the person than the car, my best advice is to ignore the person.

    19" vs 20" Wheels

When I bought my AGT I knew that I wouldn’t get the claimed 510 miles of range. But I also knew that I could go further than any other EV on the road and that’s what sold me. And I really can't complain about getting 400 miles on a 100% charge since I never drive that far without a break anyway.

    19" vs 20" Wheels

I’m getting up to 460 miles (4.1 m/kw) @ 100% on 19” wheels on my 2023 AGT. Obviously range will vary based on a number of factors with weather, speed, and elevation being the biggest. On that basis I average closer to 3.5 m/kw but it still puts me close to 400 miles in real world miles.

My totally unsolicited idea on how to improve Lucid Service

Agreed. And providing these types of services uses up resources that could be deployed to clearing up the service backlog. But from Lucid’s perspective it probably helps keep the lights on as they spend lots of time doing warranty work that doesn’t generate revenue.

My totally unsolicited idea on how to improve Lucid Service

Apple doesn’t want you to service your iPhone. It’s a planned obsolescence business model. Although they will sell you Apple Care which is nothing more than insurance.

TCU not being covered under warranty

Well I don’t do private party transactions but that’s just me. I’m not questioning your decision to buy the car. Only you can decide if you’re satisfied with what you paid and the car you now own. You could have also bought a CPO from Lucid. There’s obviously an increased cost in going that...
