Maybe time for a new thread for owners who report *no* problems, (or at least, very few)

Under the hood near the left and right struts there is a spacer post that you can twist in or out to change how far down the hood goes when it closes. The theory is that you back it out (twist left on each side) to create a little more space. For some people this causes the frunk's failure to...

    Oh Lucid Nav

According to... https://mapcreator.here.com/ ... HERE mapping is on 3 out of 4 cars equipped with a navigation system. I suspect that means they are the lowest cost offering. I had saved that page for later. It says you can submit changes to them. My local YMCA is listed as a church.

    Bad t-bone

There were some impressive online videos of Lucid showing the computer modeling and eventual crash testing on the Air. Very specific choices on materials and shapes and force vectors for all kinds of impacts. I hate to see anyone get hit in one of these, but I'm glad Lucid did so much to...

    Navigation location error

You can use a podcast player in Apple Carplay to get the two to play well together. The podcast should pause during navigation instructions.

    Navigation location error

Google Maps is includes with Android Auto, if you have an Android phone. Apple has something similar with Carplay. Not sure about plans for the built in nav.

    Navigation location error

I notice that the address it sent you to is the one it has stored for the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake (photo on the left). That sounds like a database error. My web search says the actual address is 100 Heron Blvd in Cambridge.

    New Bugs Since 3.5.1

I get that feeling a lot. I'm at a point now with 3.5.1 where I don't really have anything major to complain about. There are things I'd like them to improve, but nothing that inteferes with us enjoying the car.

Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

We were at a high-end steakhouse with my nephew. As we're leaving, a white Ferrari parked right in front, looking smoking hot, as they do. My nephew took a few pictures then got into the Gravity for the ride home. He was quiet for a bit, on his phone, then said, "Aha! It's actually a little...

I’d say layoffs to the service department are starting to have an effect…

That may be the worst part. You can see how great the car could be, just not the one you got stuck with. I'd pull all your documentation together and send a nicely worded letter to the new CEO. It'll get routed to somewhere, for sure, but it might get you the right level of attention before...

Long Beach to Scottsdale and Back (in an R1S)

On my March roadtrip in the Gravity I was getting 2.78 miles/kWh over 1200 miles. I did a couple of 350 mile trips in April and have been averaging 3.11 miles/kWh. Big differences seem to be temperature, winds, elevation, and getting past that 2000 mile break-in period. On the 1200 mile trip...

Possible new owner with service question

It's a sore spot here, too. The techs are very nice and helpful, but it can take a few weeks to get a non-critical problem looked at by service.

    Big Crack Appeared in Windshield

Probably unrelated, but I have a taillight that's like this. I was washing the car and noticed a crack all the way across the taillight, with no noticeable impact damage. Not covered under warranty, as they assume I backed into a bush or something.

    Super Secret Menu... Shhhhhhh

When mobile service comes out, they pull an ethernet cable out from somewhere under the dash and plug it into a laptop. The super secret laptop app looked very, very complicated.

Air + DreamDrive Pro: Were We Left Behind?

It helps to silently put "...based on what we know right now... " onto every forward-looking message. Lucid doesn't seem like they're intentionally misleading anyone, but we all reserve the right to wake up smarter in the morning. Four years ago everyone was kind of guessing what hardware...

Can we keep thread on subjects?

I struggled for 15 minutes or so, trying to come up with that paragraph. Well done, sir.

Lucid Needs To Up Its Game Regarding Its App

The last update of the Lucid app on Google Playstore was March 25th, for "other improvements and enhancements".

Gravity Road Trip: If you had to pick just ONE legendary route.

I have the Gravity GT with the 21"/22" Michellin tires. Never noticed a problem with stopping, but I rarely use the actual friction brake. Most of the time I stop with only the regenerative braking. Might have been an issue with your loaner? Staying on topic... I'd pick the Blue Ridge...

    Keyfob software update notification

Checked my key fob and it also has the latest firmware, 02.35.08. I always do this in the corner of my house furthest from the car. After the update, pop the battery and give it a few seconds before reinstalling it or a fresh one. I hope this works for folks still having key fob problems.

Can we keep thread on subjects?

I lurked here and elsewhere for weeks before I decided to ignore the trolls and take a chance. So glad I did. My Gravity is a brilliant bit of engineering and it makes me smile whenever we drive it. I, for one, am here to support the brilliant bits of Lucid while they sort out all the rough...

    Keyfob software update notification

I wondered the same. It seems like the phone app doesn't try to talk to the keyfob firmware (to check a version number) until you tell it to. Perhaps makes sense, so as not to drain the battery? I had been also wondering about all the people still reporting keyfob problems when mine has been...
