Lucid Air Cockpit really has coolest functional styling

Very cool! I've always hated getting surprised by an upcoming term because Google Maps didn't tell me that a block after my left turn, I'll need to be in the right lane for a right turn.

    Info on Android Auto?

Android Auto also just went through a major change to support different types of form factor display + dual screen: https://www.gsmarena.com/google_details_android_auto_makeover_splitscreen_is_the_new_norm_-news-54299.php The optimist in me is hoping that's why there's a small bit of delay, and...

Got the first Quantum Grey in Texas!

This is drop-dead gorgeous. I've been pining for a glance at what QG looks like and this blew away all my expectations. I would not say no to more pictures if you have em!

    Return Policy

My SA told me there is no return policy but you can refuse delivery if the PDI is not to your satisfaction.

    Terminology & Slang Glossary

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't know what ACC stood for at first, and I had to look up SOC as well (felt very dumb when I looked up that one, heh). Maybe worth adding?

    Glad to hear. Thanks :)

    Week one

Thoughts on the glass roof? How is glare/heat transmission? And do the sun visors feel like they really ruin the effect of the glass, or you don't notice as much? Thanks!

Backup Camera/Surround Camera - What can it do?

Wow...this is great! I love the automatic turn-on. I don't care what it interrupts (nav/music/whatever), I really appreciate that the car immediately is notifying me of potential danger. Thanks!

    19" vs 21" Tires: Ride Quality/Range Difference

Not to worry, I can see where you're coming from with that assumption though! :) EDIT: I should mention; handling characteristics definitely improve if the tire is wider, since there's more surface area gripping the road, but as far as I'm aware, the width of all the wheels is the same and it's...

    19" vs 21" Tires: Ride Quality/Range Difference

I think you may be a bit confused. A larger wheel means a smaller tire, and a smaller tire means less rubber to absorb bumps and sound. A larger wheel will almost always mean smaller tire, and consequently, not as comfortable of a ride. This thread is just about the nuance of how much less...

    19" vs 21" Tires: Ride Quality/Range Difference

Thanks! I did see that, but user is very much concerned with handling/traction/wheel control, and doesn't really talk about ride comfort/noise, which is what I'm more interested in.

    19" vs 21" Tires: Ride Quality/Range Difference

Hey there, I'm leaning towards the 19" right now but I cannot deny how much I love the way the 21" looks. However, I know you lose range (physics is physics after all). For those of you who tried/test drove both the 19"/21": Which one did you end up going with? What kind of range are you...

Spotify/Pocketcasts/Tidal - Do these work off of the car's built in Data?

Something I feel may be a bit of a silly question; all those "built-in" apps that I keep seeing in videos...are those transferring data off the car's built-in LTE connection, or is it going through my phone's data?

    Front License Plate?

Yeah, this seems like the way I'm going to be going as well. The front end is gorgeous and I don't want to ruin it with a plate. The only thing I'm slightly worried about is that this car really turns heads. Whereas a cop may not give a Tesla a second glance, I'm not so sure I'd get the same...

to charge or not to charge, that is the question...

State of Charge also did an excellent comparison between 150 and 350 charging: Spoiler alert; unless you really need to charge and dash, the difference between the two is not super substantial:

    Front License Plate?

Hey all, Do any of you have front-mounted license plates? I don't tend to see a lot of them. CA Bay Area native (nowhere near SF, more South Bay), and I can't recall the last time I saw a Tesla with a front plate. Anyone have experience with this?

Backup Camera/Surround Camera - What can it do?

Also, just as a follow-up for the benefit of anyone else who had my question, looking at the Owner's Manual, I see this: Very cool stuff!

    Latest Update 1.2.1

I assume it uses the weight sensor at the very least to see if there's a child in the back seat. Granted, some dogs are too light to trigger that (I've got an 18-pound Yorkshire Terrier), and I suppose it wouldn't help if the dog was on the floor. I guess the assumption here is that all the...
