The weather in Socal is in the mid 70s lately. I just checked, and with our avg speed of 60 mph on the recent 70 mile trip (30+ miles each way from OC to LA), our MYP consumed 380Wh/mi (2.6 M/kWh ???)

    LCID 2021 Q4 Earnings

Most of the time, when there's a consensus about how a stock would move, it often goes the other way around .... NOBODY can predict how the stock would move near term (matter of fact, nobody can even predict share price at all). In short term, share price & company potential has little...

    LCID 2021 Q4 Earnings

The strategy that car companies have used & worked well: make just enough to be a bit bellow demands. Seen it with Hermes, Ferrari, Porsches, Lambo, Philips Patek.... Can't see why Lucid won't do it with the Dream Air.

    Air Dream Deliveries?

Even w/o JIT supply-chain problem we have now, things like this happen from time to time. Just that on a young & new company like Lucid, the problem is magnified. My friend is a plant GM for a large (very large) shoemakers, a few months ago, they were supposed to deliver 10K pairs of shoes for...

    Grand Touring Deliveries?

It goes both ways - confirming get you into the locked price - you can always defer the delivery. A friend of mine wants to buy Tesla Y for his wife, but keeps on waiting for the "possible tax relief". Price has gone up almost $10K since he first looked at the car and now. He asked to buy my MYP...

    Mapping software and navigation

There're 21 Teslas in our extended family (see pix when we gather at our grandma's house). All models, all trims. Great list. Also for us, the lack of Blind Spot Monitor in our Teslas is quite annoying, and the current implementation of video to make up for the lack of BSM is suck a joke that...

    Some odds and ends

When I test drove few weeks ago, the AC was making a hissy sound through the vent from time to time. None of what we did would stop it (change fan speed, turn on/off, change temp....). After the test drive we found out that one of the vent was shut - but our time was up so we couldn't test to...

Grand Touring Test Drive Experience - Feb 7, 2022

Same here - test drove at the Torrance studio few weeks ago, and several things didn't work correctly: door handle stuck, AC made crazy loud noise, UI lagging in navigation (which was very basic), along with a bunch of other alarm messages (unwarranted). All were told as pre-production problems...

    Mapping software and navigation

Same here. Also test drive at the Torrance studio. Was shocked how bad the nav UI looks. The rest of the car was like 9/10, the software was 5/10, and the navigation sw was like 1/10 ... With many from the exec team coming from Apple and Samsung, I had no idea how they manage to make the...

Some early details of the tri-motor version & more ...

Don't ask me where I got them ... since I can't recall :). Very clean design

I have a MYP, and a Lucid GT (and also a R1S) on order. In my day-to-day driving (local), which is mostly 40-50 mph since most of the miles are local & snail-pace SoCal traffic, I often got the near or above the EPA range (low 300s). I guess this has to do with Tesla's awesome regen and the...

The waiting is the hardest part

I am 5'11 - about to trade the S560 for a GT. We also own an Escalade, MYP, and GL450. Giving all our current cars are quite roomy & easy to get in & out, I bumped my head into the A pillar and roomline the first few times I tried to get into the Air, but after 10 min & an hour test drive, we...

    Tom Moloughney Range Test

It's 538 miles, but let's wait for the podcast. Tom is very unbias & well-balanced..

Which one looks better ? With chrome or total black out ?

We would get our Lucid GT in a few months. Originally we thought we would get the black version w/ 21 wheels - since that is the version we like the most from the studio. However, now that we have seen someone got their Lucid and did a murdered blackout, it looks just as cool, if not cooler. I...

Anyone with DE 21" wheels that you want to sell/trade

After checking out the 21" on the Grand Touring, we'll stick with it. So no more upgrade. 92663 isn't Garden Grove, but close :-)

    Test Drive Release

If you live in SoCal, and have a reservation, contact Jalil from Lucid studio in Torrance to arrange a test drive. Be prepared to be disappointed with your existing cars, whatever you have after you have tried out the Air. That's what happened with us (currently own Tesla, Benz, Cadillac)...

    Carbuzz Article

After test driving the car, and check out both the hardware & software, I'm even more confident of Lucid's strategy: focus in improving the software (and keep updating via OTA), and execute the delivery. The end results will speak for the car. They should not spent time to address the media's...

Anyone with DE 21" wheels that you want to sell/trade

Was told that our GT would arrive in the next few months. We really like the 21" DE Aero Dream wheels, and asked Lucid if we could upgrade to that design. However, we were told that the design is exclusively for the DE only. Anyone with the 21" Aero Dream wheels that you would like to trade...

Problems, glitches, issues and observations etc

Everytime Tesla tech show up at our place for repair/service, it's always either model S, or a Ford minivan. We're totally cool with it.
