    2.0.24 Software Update

There are many Teslas in our extended family (and as for now, there are a couple of RSRVs on Lucid & Rivian as well). As for Tesla UX/UI, we found it's quite intuitive & fast. As for advanced features, many of us paid for FSD years ago - yet none of us have to experience the "fully autonomous"...

    Q3 ~ 3700

My cousin & friends won't give me a number any more, so I just had to keep asking until they stop glaring at me ... 3700 is when he stopped Btw, where 50/day used to be a goal, it's now a baseline ....

Any Lucid owners who are previously Tesla owners? Curious about your thoughts on your experience and if you prefer Lucid

There are more than ....20 Teslas in our extended family (pix of when we gather at our grandma's house - sometimes it looks like a Tesla SC !!). We all got Teslas because it was the best (if not the only) EV on the market at the time. But of the year, we're all getting tired of Tesla's low...

What's worse: this forum loading pictures or Lucid loading sw - both longer than 1 min?

When we get together, I often cracked jokes at my cousin and his friends - all are working at Lucid's engineering, that with a lot of intelligent brains, they still can't make the car software load faster than Windows 95. I even showed them this forum - where loading speed is one of the largest...

    0-60 in Smooth mode?

Last I heard, Peter and Eric don't "believe" in the rollout practice. The test was pretty simple: - Sprint mode - Press the brake - Press the accelerator - Wait for the launch icon (I think some bear animation appears on the instrument cluster) - Release the brake - Go !! Btw, on some runs...

    0-60 in Smooth mode?

    The numbers that the engineering team got from test runs are as follow (Sprint mode) - Sapphire: 1.8 - Air Dream (P): 2.5 - Air Dream (R): 2.7 - GT-R: 2.9 - GT-P: 2.6 - Pure/Touring AWD: 3.2 - Pure/Touring 2WD: 3.9 (traction!) Hope this answers your question

    Sapphire vs. Rimac Nevera

Lucid stated that the Sapphire would have AT LEAST 1200hp. The real number is quite a bit above this ...

Quick update: the reorg works better than anyone could have expected!

The daily production level is now at the level the company initially planned (before Covid & supply-chain issues). Per an internal survey - morale & employee confidence is at the highest point in the last 3 years. After flushing out vendors that didn't meet the spec, the utilization of parts &...

    Sapphire vs. Rimac Nevera

I "know" someone who was part of the the team that develop & benchmark-test the Shappire, and here's the interesting fact: Lucid didn't develop it just to beat the the Plaid's numbers. They developed it to make sure it's as good as the Porsches GT3 and Rimac. They did many test runs against...

In regard to the media contacting me about my earlier post about exec shuffling & change

I've been approached by a few from the media in regard to my earlier post about internal activities & management change at Lucid ( https://lucidowners.com/threads/insider-feedback-regards-the-exec-shuffling-at-lucid.2507/ ). I even saw quite a few sources quoted directly my post right onto their...

    Gravity or....

The Gravity, once shown in a few months, will look nothing like what's been shown in the media & by Lucid years ago... Many subtle changes, but will make quite a significant difference to the car. Eric & team did a good job. Give it few more months

    Latest numbers from the Sapphire run: 1.8 - 3.7 - 226

From what I'm told, the Plaid was the benchmark for 0-60, 30-120, and 1/4 mile, but not much else, since it's not really defining standard for handling on track nor max speed. For that, the GT3 is. He said it ran as good, it not better than the GT3 on track, due to torque vectoring & huge brake...

Took delivery last Friday! Thoughts on week one and unfortunate problem last night.

That was scary. Years ago, one of our cars died on the freeway. Though we were able able to moved to the emergency lane (on the left, next to the carpool), watching cars zoomed by at 60-80mph was insanely scary. Lucid crew do monitor this forum, hopefully things like this get back to the...

Insider feedback regards the exec shuffling at Lucid

I posted this into the other thread, but perhaps it fits better here ============ From what I'm told, just in a few weeks since his arrival, Steve has been able to make a huge difference and addressed many of the challenges on the production lines. Basically squashing tribal warfare & tunnel...

Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Grand Touring

From what I'm told, just in a few weeks since his arrival, Steve has been able to make a huge difference and addressed many of the challenges on the production lines. Basically squashing tribal warfare & tunnel mindset help to unclog a lot of obstacles - they finally got Autosar running (what is...

Insider feedback regards the exec shuffling at Lucid

From what I'm told, Peter R was too focused in efficiency, technology, and marketing (and the glory of PR), being remoted & somewhat disconnected, also he trusted the words of his crew at the Arizona plant & PMO too much until he realized how severe the disaster was. The story of the team...

Insider feedback regards the exec shuffling at Lucid

I talked to my cousin and his friends, who all work in engineering at Lucid. I asked them about the recent change at Lucid, and here's their take. - The new exec team was brought in to address the bureaucracy, tribal mentality, and lack of ownership (when things didn't go right) at the Arizona...
