    Collision Avoidance - No braking?

Just be aware emergency collision avoidance works currently at extreme low speed as in a parking lot at 12mph or so. It says that in the manual too.

Lucid Air Pure, Mobile Key FOB, Pixel 7 questions

Also opening the app 1 minute before you approach the car results in faster unlock though it really is a function of Bluetooth.

    OTA Updates... or lack thereof.

I recall that lucid advertising level 4 ready. Level 4

    OTA Updates... or lack thereof.

I really hope that Lucid will far outperform Tesla and not take too long to match them.

    OTA Updates... or lack thereof.

Look at the amount of hardware and the redundancy. https://waymo.community/about/waymos-backup-systems.html Pre-mapped: https://waymo.community/about/waymo-zones.html Compare this even to Lucid. There is one Lidar, front and rear radars, multiple cameras and parking sensors. They complement each...

    OTA Updates... or lack thereof.

I have faith in Waymo. I never had a chance to try though. What I was saying is that they have a very expensive and ugly sensor on the roof which none of us want. Also, most likely very high speed internet and very powerful computing hardware too. As you say, within the region they know.

    OTA Updates... or lack thereof.

The hardware used in the commercial autonomous vehicles is very expensive and ugly looking too like the gigantic rotating wheel on the roof. In addition to that, we need a lot of other changes. When we drive we are noticing and hearing radio info about storms or road closures or hazards ahead or...

RangeXchange and EcoFlow EV X-Stream for pseudo V2H

I am not suggesting that 110v is used to charge a car. RangeXchange can output 240v 40A 9.6kw to charge another ev. If that ev is in the garage like mine, it has 110v outlets to power 1 refrigerator and many lights. In my case 1 is 2kw continuous and the other is 1.6kw. Or I could use ccs port...

RangeXchange and EcoFlow EV X-Stream for pseudo V2H

If you own another ev which has 110v outlets like some Hyundai ioniq 5, Genesis gv60, Kia ev6, you can charge the other ev with lucid and use the other ev for emergency power.

Tesla sales in California dropped - wonder how Lucid is doing?

We will know on May 6th earnings.

Tesla sales in California dropped - wonder how Lucid is doing?

Lucid is not in that segment. Air Pure RWD is far better than Model S and I think and hope that it will take market share from Model S and I hope Gravity will take market share from Model S. That said, I think those who had BMW 7 series and Mercedes S class sedans will gravitate to the EVs of...

Rivian Adventure Network is opening to public all CCS

I think they should not. The volumes of Lucid will not justify that expense. What they can do is perhaps install real 350kW DCFC at their service centers and studios and offices. Use them only for loaner and service and allow only Lucids to charge with Lucid App and the price is what they have...

    Lucid app update v1.49.0

Interesting. I would have expected the opposite due to fragmentation in android and iPhone widget and mobile key working better than on Android.

2500 mile road trip--Seattle exburbs to Santa Barbara and back

What I noticed recently was that the EA stations near me in Fremont at Walmart and at Foodmax at 880 and Stevenson Blvd in Newark are all working well. There are 4 at Foodmax and 3 at Walmart. At Great mall, all were working the last 2 times I was there. Perhaps they are improving. Also I get...

    First road trip - TX/OK

I did not go to Quebec city. Also at Montreal the charge was done at lucid. If you are entering Montreal from NY, there is one EA at the border in a small town at a car dealership.

    Philosophical observation

I guess so. For now I am using the EA charging between 50 and 80 because when I am in town, 30% is all I need. Once the EA charging ends in Dec 2025, I plan to charge at home 65 to 80 2 times a week. Here is the very scientific article on this subject. https://www.mdpi.com/2076-3417/8/10/1825...
